Whole thing about rallying is that there is variation, lots of different cars competing etc. No rally game can bring in real life aspects any where near as well as racing games as there is way more scope to include things in rally games.

It's because this track was made with a hacked version of the course creator that removes some of the restrictions. It's plotted outside the normally permitted area and almost touches the skybox. It's 35 km long where normally tracks are restricted to 10 km or 20 km (can't remember which).

AFAIK it's drilling out those three bosses on the back and theyll almost align perfectly with the holes, but you'll need to do some tweaking until it is aligned. Actually if I were you I'd 3D print an adapter rather than try and do the alignment job

I spent two hours in Forza today trying to tune a Chevy SS only to look it up and realize that it's both a re-branded Holden Commodore and used in NASCAR, however you can't tune it to meet the level of an actual V8 supercar and the NASCAR variant is DLC, so you're stuck with a shitty sedan that's awful at every tier. Muh 450+ vehicles they just bloat it with shit.

yeah, the random issues are a little disappointing and i wish they'd have more detail to them rather than just being a thing that happens and you don't have to fix or anything whatsoever
on the other hand, really long rallies with low-level parts get intense because you actually do feel the car slowly falling apart due to your own actions, I did a 20 mile set of 3 stages with no repairs and then another 20 miles and by the end of it I could actually see my suspension collapsed by the end of the rally.
The only shame is that it's apparently something you're meant to avoid by buying higher-quality parts which is kinda lame.

I haven't experienced losing gears but I specifically tried to keep my gearbox in good shape, electrical problems I don't believe are in other than the random 'codriver radio failure' event.

i think i should correct my bitching about complete lack of detail a little bit. While lack of proper color pallette is still painful, i just generated a track that has a lot of details and interesting track itself, with some wood stacks on the insides of some corners and other nice suprises. I'm still in first hours of playing it.

handling is still shit though, so twitchy and direct, it's kinda like weight balance happens instantly or something. turn the wheel, car starts turning like it's a gokart going 20kmph. i have 540 wheel in both games, but i think i should change it to 900 for D4, maybe it'll help

The problem is that the handling isn't like in Burnout. It's like the devs took the handling from Burnout, removed all the good and fun parts about it and just kept the bad parts of it.

I wouldn't even have much of a problem with it focusing on a story, if it would have fun with itself.
All of the actors seem to take themselves way too seriously and sound like they're bored out of their minds, which they probably are desu.
Compare that to NFS Most Wanted. The franchise is two decades old, people have come in at different points, be it when it was just super car racing, the porsche only game, Super cars running from the cops, ricers, Ricers running from the cops, etc. etc. And they all think that the game should be the one they started with, and it should be like that.

EA had to evolve, but evolving so much and so wildly in so many different directions from Sim light to Rice Simulator 2003, has bit them in the ass because at this point, aside from driving fast cars, usually on the road, the series doesn't have much in the way of one solid identity. I've tried it out with it set to 900 degrees and 200 degrees of rotation, and it worked exactly like I expected it to in-game. I get the same strength turning at full lock on either setting, and since there not as much room to turn the wheel to get there with 200 degrees of rotation, any small turn of the wheel results in a larger reaction from the car.

DO NOT DO THIS SOLO.

I did the Sebring 12hr solo and ended up pinching a nerve in my thumb and my thumb was numb for the next month and a half. Other than that, I was getting super hungry, my legs felt like jello, and I just felt like complete crap.

I would highly recommend that you dont drive solo more than 6 hours unless you want to risk medical issues.

Also you just get DQ'd at the end and you get no IR. Trust me, that is how it works. Each driver can do a maximum of 9/10th of the total race length.

How does one git gud with a wheel? I use to be fast with a pad but now I can't drive worth a shit and I keep fucking up my races, especially on SHiT.
Is it just a time and practice thing?

Do you know when to brake, when to let go of the throttle, when to get back on the throttle, how to approach different types of turns, how to handle braking/throttle like said above for each of those, what the proper line through a turn is, where the apex is and where you should be when you hit it, how and when to overtake someone...
People will usually suggest to just GIT GUD and keep practicing but actually studying and watching racing goes a long way.

I was just confused since it gives you tire information in practice and testing, single player race too I think and every other turnleft game does the same, nr2003, NASCAR heat etc. Please don't bully me.
