tfw no radial engine powered vw beetle
>>17330525
Thats a big engine
Somebody please start posting 30s coaches, Duesenbergs get me rock solid
>27 liters
The car probably weighed 5500lbs and made 150hp
>>17330705
It seens to me this has a Rolls Royce Merlin V12, engine from a Spitfire
It can make 1500hp, but its an airplane engine, meaning car in OPs pic is probably a custom job made recently
>>17330638
Sorry I'm late.
For you...
>>17330727
>Merlin
You mean an Allison with a supercharger.
Brits suck at making planes as much as they do cars.
>>17330783
What? The Merlin and the V-1710 are completely different engines
I don't know what that fucking thing is, but it's not a 1930 Bentley
>>17330525
>implying that thing is legal in the UK
>>17330525
How much HP does that relic output?
>>17330833
about as much hp as an corvette.. (700)
but with less than 1 mpg
>>17330816
No they are basically the same, most people use old Allison parts to fix the Merlin engines because they are so similar and Allison tends to be cheaper.
Allison still made the better engine
>>17330835
Wow 700 HP from a fuckhuge v12? You can get more out of a modern NA i4.
>muscle car
>5 liters
European education everyone
>>17330525
>27 liter engine
>700 hp
>1 (one) mile per gallon
>>17331030
Post a NA i4 that makes 700 HP
>>17331030
this ones a v 16 i think.. not a v12.
still, not impressive. and you cant really feel the power.. this car probably has more torque than anything else though
>>17330525
>then and now
