Hey /o/ so I'm going to graduate college soon (December) and I'm going to buy a car when I do. I need help deciding what to get. I live in northern Ohio and want something thats a few years old, preferably manual and somewhat sporty (GLI, GTI, civic SI) my budget will probs be around 10-15K. any ideas whats possible or just overall recommendations? also general car thread post you're favorites. TL;DR need help deciding first car.

whats your reasoning?

what's wrong with your current car? just fix it.

I've been using my parents car so I don't own one so its time to kick off the training wheels (about time right?)

then buy a civic for 3k. you should be saving money for a down payment on a house.

wheres the fun in that? plus I have a house with currently with some roomies ill be in and then in an apt probs for a while. I'm still pretty young so I have time to save. as young and dumb as it sounds...

are the veloster turbos anything to consider?

Why not just buy that car from your parents then? You know what condition it's in and you're used to driving it.

because we put 240k miles on it and I want a new(er) car.

good point, but some research and opinions don't hurt.
