I guess this goes with any hobby, but do /cars/ help anyone with depression? One problem I have is deciding wtf I should dump so much money into. No matter what I look at, there's haters that talk shit on every decent car out there. LOL FWD FAGGOT. LOL CAMAROKEK NICE VAPE MACHINE WRX FAG. Will a Miata make me shoot rainbows from my dick? I honestly want a Mini Cooper. I don't care for speed, I love station wagon aesthetics. Money is tight so I've ruled out Mini. So I would like an Impreza hatchback or Mazda 3 hatch. But I'm hesitant to go in debt for such a thing. Currently drive a 95 Sentra which only redeeming quality is a manual transmission and that got old after a couple years. And it needs a lot of repairs...

Main discussion, are cars a hobby that have help you with depression?

Why are you trying to buy a car that is universally accepted? Its your money, just get what you like senpai. Nobody will actually walk up to you in real life and be like "HAHA FWD GAAAAAAY!", maybe you're taking 4chan bantz too seriously.

Also no hobby will really help with depression m8. See a therapist

Any hobby helps with depression as long as it's "your thing".
In other words, if you like cars, then getting heavily involved in them can be therapeutic, but if you're not passionate about them, you're going to feel even worse for wasting your money on something you don't even like to do.

I honestly feel better now that I have my FoST.
Just driving it is an enjoyable experience for me.
So, yes it can help.

MR2 SW20

Normies think you are driving a Ferrari
Normie enthusiasts think that you don't fear death (because they think that snap oversteer wgill gill u !!!!!!!!)

Also, I forgot to mention that it handles like a dream (because MR layout) and its relatively fast (if you get a turbo variant).

They're also incredibly cheap

Feels travel faster than land vehicles. Consider becoming a pilot or buying a boat.

In my experience really anything you can be passionate about will help. What I'd really recommend though, is going to a therapist.
>>
Driving is my pasttime. Working on cars is just what I do. I have an extremely stressful job that is far above what I'm capable of putting out. Driving gives me time to forget.

Civic?

Car culture is inherently toxic and solely consists of people who will dedicate as much time as possible into trying to fight/kill you and/or making you want to kill yourself. Avoid them entirely and do your own thing. Use the internet or maybe classes to teach yourself how to wrench if you don't plan on buying something in great condition. Buy something half-sporty (a Mini Cooper S or JCW or something like that is just as good as anything else) and become /mid night/ on your own terms. Make yourself happy and leave the normies behind.

>Buy a front-wheel drive BMW

why would you subject yourself to this
>>
It doesn't help with depression because there's always people that will hate whatever you drive, that's why I got into motorcycles instead.
