Take two; last one got eaten up by a bunch of no-replies.
So, headcount of those going to Bimmerfest? Only a few hours of light between now and everyone arriving at the gates of Fontana.
Done a wash, clay, and wax and going to detail the interior. Also removed the Fancywide logos from the diffuser, makes for a much more balanced look.

is it the best forum?

I don't use it but they have a huge meet, so they have something to their name that conveys popularity.
You can soon cross the M out, because OEMs will stop producing engines.
If I had an E36 with a speedometer in KM only and wanted to see my speed in miles what's the best/most tasteful option of accomplishing that? I'm no fan of replacing the instrument cluster, and I'd prefer not to buy an overlay (if I did it would have to have it's own lighting since the stock lighting won't shine through) but I'm open to suggestions.
I always could just remember the conversions of course.

Dunno. Small dot on common speeds like 40/50 mph maybe.
Actually that's not too bad of an idea as long as I can see it at night, will look into that.
I looked into the glow overlays and this was the only non-custom unit I found that I could stomach. Though I do prefer the stock look the usability concerns for myself and potentially other drivers might trump that.

why do you want it to display in MPH?
not to start a big shitpost derail but KMH is a lot better, and more aesthetically pleasing in BMW dashboards.
your options are either an ebay overlay or to use what you can pull from the obd2 port ( assuming your car is a later e36) http://people.ece.cornell.edu/land/courses/ece4760/FinalProjects/s2012/ppv5/
Have fun in the 90+ degree heat @ Bimmerfest cucks lmao

Have you never sat through an endurance race in the middle of summer?
