I actually spoke from experience. On 3 of my jobs, the owners were one of the 20 wealthiest in the country, and they don't drive quite what you think they do.
First one even has a fortune above the 1 billion €, and I know to this day he still drives his 1997 Audi A8. Second one still drives an '88 Jag XJ40, and the third (his son) drives a diesel Cayenne. To back this up even more, the last one's 2 sons drive a BMW 330d each, one of them was even imported used from out of the country.
Btw, 1 and 3 are truly down-to-earth people, you can have an absolutely normal conversation with them about the most mundane topics.

Funny story about the DMV. So my dad was going to buy a Camaro SS and wanted a funny license plate. Checked for "M4 Killa" and it was available and he liked it so i placed an order. Head back to school for the semester and don't hear anything about it. I come back for Christmas break and ask my dad if the plate came in and he says they actually denied it because "it was offensive and had the word kill in it"
