Following your logic this thing BTFOs them both.
Here's a hint for you: Making a car go 270+ mph one way down a runway once is pretty easy.

And the Demon gets beat by other cars in all regards apart from acceleration. Boring and gaudy.

>>17298008
I'm inclined to agree, I'd never buy a demon. But then again, a demon isn't 3 million dollars

Easy when it's still "technically" a Lotus and you haven't actually built a new car.

The person who owns a Pagani or a Bugatti, ALSO owns the other car. It's not a "hmm which ONE do I buy?" There was a stat from Bugatti where they said their buyers own an average of like 30 other cars or something by the time they added the Veyron to their collection.
The person buying a million dollar car does just have one of them. They get all of them.
>>17298345
No one. Lemme tell you no one, had 1000hp in the 70's unless it was a funny car/top fuel. Let alone 3000 with just a tunnel ram and some power adders. Nimrod.

>As reported in David Kushner's Masters of Doom, when Carmack was 14, he broke into a school to help a group of kids steal Apple II computers. To gain entry to the building, Carmack concocted a sticky substance of thermite mixed with Vaseline that melted through the windows. However, an overweight accomplice struggled to get through the hole, and opened the window, setting off a silent alarm and alerting police. John was arrested, and sent for psychiatric evaluation (the report mentions 'no empathy for other human beings' and describes Carmack as 'a brain on legs'). Carmack was then sentenced to a year in a juvenile home

Yeah, no.
The Chiron is an automotive masterpiece in its own right. The problem is that it isn't designed to race. It's built so that it can take you from one country to another quite comfortably but can also break the record for the fastest production car. In order to achieve such mind-blowing speed and still feel as composed and at-ease as a Bugatti should be, even at +250MPH, it must be built from bespoke parts specifically made for this singular effort, by artisans in their crafts, using the most expensive cutting-edge materials and methods.
This thing is fucking heavy because of all the shit it carries on board to maintain the composure of the engine and the driver at ludicrous speeds. It's built to be a road car. Yes it can go faster and be lighter and more agile but then it'd be uncomfortable and ugly on the interior and no good on public roads (where it belongs.)
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a no-fucks-given Arab prince take a Chiron and strip it down and built it into a race car. I really want to see that. But look at how expensive and special these cars are. It'd take a real petrolhead billionaire to do such a thing.
