I was left a Cadillac DTS from my grandpa after he passed I know nothing about the car other than he meticulously maintained it is it something worth holding onto?
Overall not really. It's value will just continue to fall. But from a driving standpoint it's the last of the classical fwd V8 Cadillacs they were known for decades. It'll provide a driving experience no other car can provide
Caddys depreciate like crazy, more than most other cars
the DTS is not really a desirable caddy

90s Cadillac and Northstar engines are my fetish so id buy it directly from you if i could.
My grand father had a Deville with well over 200,000+ miles on it until the digital instrument cluster went out and he just got another car. i don't know if it could've been replaced or not or for how much. kinda wish he kept it and tried to have it fixed since it was still a running car.
Thanks for the input guys I'll check the thread in the morning to see who else chimes in.

Yuck.

It had its moments.

If it was an Eldorado, it would be worth keeping. DTS, probably not, unless you really love the car.

North star was okay post 2001 but I agree anything before that you should stick with 4.9/5

They never actually fixed the headbolt issue in 2000. Just kept making them longer. Considering You'll need a stud kit eventually regardless, 96-99 are the best. 93-95 were working out the kinks and post 2000 dropped compression to run on 87 and try to reduce hg woes. The older cars have a lot more punch than the later models.
