This shit do anything?
Not sure OP, but I would like to get /o/'s opinion on seafoam if we're having a fuel additives thread?
I've started adding it to my fuel every 2000 miles or so. Not sure if it's doing anything, but it's definitely not hurting anything.
if you have a really clean running car and run premium octane, it won't do much of anything

shit's great, I seafoam every old beater I buy even if I'm flipping them. people look at you like you're insane when you use it though

I used one of those things like a year ago in my car, I didn't notice much, just MAYBE a better response, but it might have just been placebo effect.

cleans carbon out pretty good, doesn't work miracles.

Explain to us what you think premium octane does

Gumout is meh. When the expert shit came out we sold it on special and I never heard anything spectacular from my customers. My personal preference for fuel system cleaner is Techron. It's probably one of the most aggressive formulated for an injected system.

Seafoam is great, but has remained largely unchanged since its inception in the 40's. That makes it great for carbureted systems, but not as effective for new designs. I use it for cleaning the inside of the engine, because it's agressive formula is great for removing carbon from cylinder walls.

runs cleaner than 87 octane, you goofy wiki reading fuck?
It get the gum out, obviously.

Uhm, sorry anon..but no
Octane rating refers to resistance to engine knock at high temp/compression. Basically a higher ignition point so fuel wont detonate pre power strke

That's not how gasoline works you retard.
