Why are most dash cams installed in manual cars? Do automatic drivers not like dash cams?
>>17270070
automatic drivers don't like driving, people who don't like driving don't care about their cars, people who don't care about their cars don't see the need for a dash cam.
I recommend getting a discrete dash cam
dash cams are worth it IMO. you set them and forget them, since they record on a loop. they never run "out" of memory, simply replace the oldest files in the storage card. Best <$100 you'll ever spend when you are involved with insurance fraud attempts.

>Do automatic drivers not like dash cams?
They don't like driving and are the ones causing accidents.

Best way to forget about your dash cam is place it behind the rearview mirror and you'll start to forget about it eventually. And most dash cams override unprotected files automatically so you never have to do anything.

>insurance fraud attempts
Third world problems.

it does happen in America, and you'll save a lot of headache by simply showing the police officer (their cruiser's laptops will have SD card slots) a video of what happened.
other than that, you might catch something really cool/amazing on tape, and can sell that footage for profit.
anyone recommend some good discreet cams?
I just googled some, and Walmart had a $20 dash cam, but it didn't have a single review.
I wouldn't even mind spending closer to 100, but couldn't believe they were getting so cheap nowadays

>it does happen in America
As I said, third world problems.

>automatic driver dont like driving
False.
THe real reason, and I know this may blow your mind
>there are more manual cars in the world than automatic cars
>>17270245
automatic drivers who desperately try to get involved in the car scene are burden on this world, even worse is when searching for cars on craigslist and being constantly berated by low price low mileage cars only to read "transmission: automatic"
>>17270245
Not an argument.
>>17270070
automatic drivers don't give a shit and usually they cause the accident so they don't benefit from keeping a possible form of evidence in their vehicle.

Get one from SpyTec. It's brand name and affordable and also American so it has warranty and actual support.

I have the A118C-2 that I bought from their Ebay store and it still might be on sale for $55. Just go check.

Don't go all cheap-o on a dashcam and buy one from Amazon/etc. for $20 or less. They're all Chinese junk.
