Thinking of getting either a BMW 3 series or a Mercedes 190e

I don't care for either, but probably the BMW

At least in the US, I think the E30's have more of an aftermarket.

Even the E30 M3 is slower than grandma's base model camry.

190e isn't quick either.

To be anywhere near fast both of them need extensive mods. Stock with good tires they're perfectly fine as a slow DD/weekend track car though.
