I live in Minnesota and I need a new car. My needs...
>Small, can easily park in compact spots
>Daily Driver for a 1-car couple (we can afford 2 cars, just dont need it because we live in a city and carpool).
>$25-35k new or slightly used.
>Fast enough to go 0-60 in under 7 seconds.
The orange 228i is so fucking sexy, and I know I will have a lot of fun with a RWD car, but my brain tells me I should get a VW GTI because it's more practical for a single-car household with 4 doors and it's hatch.
What to do?
Wat do?
I'd get the gti
>not 7 series
that would be enough to put me off, go big or go home, no cuck tier 2 series
get a 135i and save up the rest for repairs and mods

This man knows what's up
just buy a Corvette
>not getting a golf R
shiggy diggy

>buying VAG crap
You people complain about German cars being unreliable yet suggests others to buy the most unreliable shit around
>>17257463
They're absolutely fine as long as you maintain them properly. ""You people"" are underage busriders and poorfaggots on antique shitboxes that think spending $100 a year on car maintenance is insanity.
can you flip over the rear seats?
if no, get the gti

why do you need a new car?
>>17258237
This.
If you want a fast car just get a used Chevy cobalt ss.
Maybe both of you can have a car, even.

That's fucking bullshit. VAG products will break no matter how you maintain them. Replacing compressors, oil pans and timing tensioners under 50,000 miles isn't "normal maintenance", yet VAG fanboys always try to excuse every retarded shortcoming of their vehicles as "just normal wear and tear". I'm not even someone that hates on German cars, I have a C-Class and plan on getting an Arteon upon release, but VAG shit is not reliable.

>BMW
>>17257094
Get the BMW if you like it Anon it's one of the few BMW models still reminiscent of classic BMW. For that much money I'd get a Civic Type R if I wanted fun, a Mustang if i needed RWD or an Acura TLX for a comfy fourdoor. I would strongly suggest buying new if you go with the BMW, they're not as unreliable as /o/ likes to pretend they are, but when stuff breaks it can be very expensive to fix them.

very sensible purchase
I'd recommend not financing it longer than the remaining warranty.
>>17257094
It's full of electronic shit
It's a tier-2 pleb class
Get a good GTI with nice extras for the price of that pleb BMW
