The market has shown very obviously which is the better buy. The E63 wagon is fine to lease and discard but like any other new Mercedes it's not a good car to own long term, it isn't a performance car, and it will cost way more than it's worth to keep on the road

If you're after practicality then there's no reason to get AMG over E400. It's less noisy, has a much comfier suspension and smoother gearbox, while still being plenty powerful.
