What does /o/ think of t-tops/targa tops?
Will they make a comeback?
stupid as hell
ugly as hell
probably not

I generally like them. The only exception being the fact that many older cars tend to leak. Modern ones can look nice
the ease of use of t-tops has been replaced by easily-produced automatic convertibles, so most people just don't give a fuck.
I think theiy're're smexy

I think they can look pretty cool.
I know they can leak hella water in the rain
They are crazy dangerous people get decapitated in rollovers with ttops.
I would never buy a car with ttops unless it was a acura NSX.
Car companies are making cars more safe not more dangerous. They arent gonna bring back ttops cause people are pussies who get decapitated and they leak rain.
End of story.

I had a 1977 Trans Am with T-tops and spent countless hours trying to seal them. Ended up still leaking when I sold it.
Also had a high performance 455 in it and the torque from the engine actually tweaked the frame it had so much torque and not enough support with the t-roof.

That was another flaw mostly seen in older t tops and targas. Nowadays the cars that do have targa tops are built with that in mind (same way with convertibles)

T tops are the nice middle ground between wanting a convertible, but not wanting to deal with a clothtop
they can look real nice imo
911 targas are the jam

>tweaked the frame
It's a unibody car, dillhole.

The new one is so unnecessarily complicated though.
>tfw no Cayman targa where you literally put a bit of roof in the trunk to keep the mechanism lightweight

Unibodys still have frame rails.
