Was it a gift or you paid for it yourself?
>>
first car was a 1989 audi coupe b2 with 350.000km and i bought it myself for 900 euros
it slowly fell apart but i swear i've never driven a car with such a good handling chassis ever again
>>

Gift.

91 ford escort, gas tank had a crack in it and you couldn't fill it up past 1/4 tank.
Started driving that car when I was like 15, good times.
gift
>>
1986 R31 Skyline

Built like a fucking tank, I abused the shit out of it for over ten years now and its still going strong. I once ran over a wombat with it and it didn't skip a beat.

My second car was an 84 exp. How many times did you get asked what kind of weird mustang was it?

First car was a 71 Chevelle that I bought myself. It had a broken auto trans and the lowest tuned 396. Swapped the trans and changed carb, exhaust and can.

1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer
OJ Simpson white with tan trim
Bought it with the $8k I saved up.
Only had 62k miles on the odometer.

my mom told me to get it because she didn't want me to get a pickup truck for some reason. loved it though.
>>
>>17224064
Both? I paid for it but I bought it from my grandfather who just.. Too many cars. Not good ones, just a lot of them.

He gave me a car that ran for 5 years for $2000. So it wasn't a gift but it wasn't market value either.

Bought it myself for 2400 bucks almost 3 years ago now.

Never going to get rid of it if I can help it. Still drive it though not daily. Going to get a better 124 soon but keeping my old girl around.

This is her good side other side is sorta rusty on the door and God knows what's under those plastic trim panels.

Gift. It wasn't exactly what i wanted at the time but it hauled my friends pretty easily and always started up every morning for me. Comfiest ride ever.
>>
First got a suzuki swift and then upgraded to a scirocco.
I then crashed the scirocco into a bus drunk but somehow got away with double it's worth from court.
I then used that cash to buy an e39m5 and the rest for gas and repairs.
Matter of time until I crash this one too kek.

It was a 1996 Mazda B3000 that my uncle gave me because my cousin didn't want it because
>ew, no, it's a truck and it's a stick shift
>>
My first car was my camaro. It still doesnt run, its a work in progress. Ive been too lazy and unmotivated to work on it until recently and now its getting close to being a driveable vehicle. My first daily driver was a 1999 GMC Sonoma that i wrecked, it was a lot better than the POS that im driving now. I bought both myself, the camaro for $300 when i was 13 years old and the Sonoma for $4,000 when i was 15

My mom bought my first car, an 82 VW pickup. she didnt like it so she gave it to my brother and bought another truck, a 98 tacoma which was my DD for almost 9 years. My brother has used the VW as his dd since he got it, almost a decade now.

>>
'07 Accent with lurking electrical problems, given to me by a generous but too-nosy aunt when i wasn't even wanting a car.

trash to drive but a pleasure to own, seeing as how it was worthless, basically free to insure and used ten dollars of gas a week
>>

>>
First car is a 2002 Hyundai Accent. Tiny 4cyl and fwd, but handles really well, is practically unkillable and manual 5 speed.
Wrecked it a couple weeks ago, but the engine still works. It's really just a matter of tacking on a new front support and radiator.

My parents got me project a car for my first car in highschool.
just a non working engine with a non working transmission in a rusted out body.
No wheels or brakes or wires or anything else.
It doesnt really feel like my first car because I didnt get it working until college, and even then it only ran for a few weeks and wasnt exactly street legal.
>>
>>17224064
first car was a 2000 Volvo S80, my grandfather bought it for me when I graduated from highschool
had it up until last year, timing belt went while the engine was running
too expensive to fix so I got a new car

2007 Corolla LE with 23k miles, but looks like it has 230k, and was driven by a blind person (which it practically was). Perfectly sound mechanically, maintained at the dealership until I got it and started doing it myself. Only problems are aesthetic (cracked taillight, broken interior trim pieces, countless dents, scratches, and paint marks).
Gift from grandparents who should have given up driving long before they did.

I've been cleaning it up so I can sell it for a MR2. Problem is that all the Corollas get stripped clean in less than a week at the junkyard. I have to really keep an eye on inventory if I want parts.

First car: 1983 Volvo 360
First road bike: 1990 DT125R

Worked for both of them at a high street bakery chain, a supermarket, and through a personal store project.
Paid for everything on my own.

I'm pretty proud that I funded my own interests and it's a nice feeling of accomplishment but I know people that are the bottom of the barrel in terms of personality and work ethic that got handed a brand new car as soon as they could drive with no work put in.
A friend of mine dropped out of school and went straight into his father's company but gets things bought for him left right and center (just had a brand new full spec track drift car for him and does rallying) but as a consequence of that he's not the kind of person I'd ever want to be and it influences him negatively in the long run, it's always best to be a self made person.

Paid myself from a 10-day salary. Also bought my first motorcycle after I got a better job.

These days I wish I didn't buy the car and waste all the money on it :( should've saved it all and put it into savings, in stead of paying off kikes to be able to drive it on the roads.

I kinda had two first cars since my dad and I shared what I used to drive: 2000 Volvo s80. Had turbo iirc Loved that car to bits, even if it turned into a moneysink because a lot of mechanics were slime. Eventually died because of a flood, but I had a great time with that car.

What I drive now is currently what I attribute to "my car." A 1990 buick century. As of today it only has 110k miles and is pretty good mechanical condition. I hated it when I was in HS. It belonged to my grandparents. I remember looking at it all the time and going "wow I fucking hate this car I look like an old grandma." But as I went on dates, and had girls tell me they liked my car, I warmed up to it. It's taken good care of me and I'm lucky to have a car at this point in my life.

My biggest regret is that I don't know a whole lot about car maintenance, and on top of that I really haven't been able to afford to keep the body in good condition. But I'm hoping to change that soon. I love this car

No photos, I'm kind of out of the phase in my life where i took a lot of photos. I'd go snap one now but it's currently snowing and I ain't fucking with that

93 ford ranger that my dad gave to me so he could use it as an excuse to buy a brand new(at the time) 2010 Tundra.

It was a shitbox but it was my shitbox. The speedometer had a red mark at 55mph so I rarely took it on freeways. It's too bad I never had to use the back. I didn't get into cycling until I got a sedan and then replaced it with a coupe

Do you enjoy having your TT? Pro/Con? It's on my list, I've narrowed it to NA miata, boxster s, m roadster or TT for my bonus fun car. All depends on how much I want to spend. Is yours the 180hp or 225hp?
>>
i have a 2001 325i that was a hand me a down from my sister who had it from when it was new till about 3 years ago. Love the car, but she did not take good care of it, I've already sunk way more money than I should have trying to keep this thing'a suspension from just falling apart. And since it's got 213k miles on it on the original engine and trans, that should go any time now.
