Literally, Badgewhore: The Brand.

You can't even attempt to refute that Benz drivers are not the biggest badgewhores on the planet.

But that can be said about any brand that is considered luxury, expensive, or exotic.

Unless you would like to elaborate more as to why just Mercedes is.
>>
>>17217325
ferrari is much worse
>>
>>17217325
High class Benz owners aren't.

Incidentally it's only the most expensive Benzes that don't have the giant star of David on the grille and still have the understated badge.
>>
>>17217325
Is it really necessary to illuminate the badge? Looks childish.
>>
>>17217361
How would people see it in the dark if it's not illuminated?
>>
>>17217325
I love Benzes, call me what you want but no other car ticks all the right boxes.

I only like the old ones though. 70's through early 90's, tapering off as we get into the 00's

124 forever.
>>
>>17217473
I saw a pizza delivery driver in a 124 I was mirin
>>
>>17217325
Why is this such a bad thing to you autists?

Would you prefer all cars have no badges and look like knock offs of other cars.

If so feel free to buy a Hyundai or a Kia.

I have a C124 (coupe) I'm fixing to buy a 560 V8 swapped S124 (wagon) soon and add to my harem. Next will be focus on moving out lol priorities. My parents can only be so tolerant and I feel super bad to be taking up so much space, especially since my dad gave me the only usable garage spot currently. Really blessed I'm on good terms with them and dad helps me support my car hobby and mom generally doesn't ask too many questions.

After that, it's saving time and I'm trying to get my ass into a proper house. I can only do this for so long.

pic related tho
>>
>>17217533
I drive a Volvo actually.

But I also don't understand why it's bad that cars that cater to a market of people who want to show the world their success is bad?

Also MB makes some pretty nice cars.
I'm a big fan of the SL.

I have a feeling that you don't have a very good job. Would you say that's a reasonable estimation?
>>
>>17217358
Yeah like the C Class.

Maybe I read into "Badgewhore: The Brand" a little too much?

What did you mean by that excactly?

It sounded to me like what your saying is "Mercedes is shit because people who are successful like the idea that their car is a symbol of success"
And in my estimation that is the sentiment of either a child who doesn't even work, or someone who blames the world for their lack of success.

I've been wrong before though. Please show me the error of my ways.
>>
>>17217609
Does your symbol of your success light up at night just to be clear to everyone around you that you're a symbol of success?
>>
>>17217355
This. MB owners don't typically dress themselves and decorate their living and work spaces with the brand.
>>
>>17217325
This is true. But mercedes is also the best luxury brand. It's the oldest and has the most pedigree.
>>
Mercedes makes quality vehicles
Thats why wealthy and sophisticated people always buy them

A badgewhore brand would be Chevrolet
Hurpa durp muh chebby truck Dat maw granpappy drive is da reason I only drive chebby nowadays
>>
>>17217547
>cla/gla owners
>successful
pick one
>>
>>
>>17217668
I see that you are now shifting your goalpost from "all benz drivers" to benz drivers who picked that silly option.

Yeah the option is a little guady, but I've seen a Lexus with it, cars that shine their emblems out of the mirror at night, "Porsche" written down the side of them and all sorts of tacky things people like.

To say that all Mercedes are bad or that all Mercedes drivers are obsessed with the badge only because some people want their badge to light up is a little much.

I think you know you are being a bit of a heel but I'm all ears if you want to move the goalpost elsewhere.
>>
>>17217698
>the gear shift is on a little stick behind the wheel
>anon thinks this is neat
>>
>>17217696
That's a 33,000 car base.

You definitely need a decent job to be able to afford a 650 paymant. I guess you could always also buy one when you can just barely afford it but that is probably a minority of owners.
>>
>>17217707
>I've seen a Lexus with it

>anon needs a penis sticking up out of the middle of the car to feel like a man
Ok.
>>
>>17217734
Are you being intentionally daft?

I outright said that people put tacky options on cars sometimes. But they put tacky options on all types of cars.

Point being just because some people like tacky options doesn't say anything about a brand as a whole.

Also compared to "Porsche" written down the side of your car, or a plexiglass supercharger cover, a light up badge isn't too bad.
>>
>>17217754
What about a bus with Porsche written down the side?
>>
>>17217751
>anon doesn't like to excite his penis so he drives a mercedes benz
Good one.
>>
>>17217765
I think that's for advertising.

Looks nice on a bus, but then again it's not like you would park a bus where coworkers could see it lol
>>
>>17217775
>anon can't get wimmins in his hyundai accent and is mad
>>
>>17217754
Are you being intentionally daft? Listen, Mercedes salesman, I understand you're trying to justify this ridiculousness and defend the "brand image" on a Cambodian Couch Trading Platform. Trust me, I "get it." You're a badgewhore. It's cool, man. I never said it was bad. It's good to see you own you're a badgewhore. In a way, it's admirable.

I sure am angry and I'm definitely being paid by MB to convince people like you who haven't graduated college and have no job that they need to buy a luxury car.

You win big man. Chalk up a nice little "told you so" tally...
>>
>>17217843

I have a 2002 E320 I bought for $1100 with 190K miles. Good car! Light-up badges are obviously tacky, but the car is fundamentally sound.
>>
>>17217918
Remember to continue to direct your angst for me toward MB drivers.

Even though I was pretty clear about owning a Volvo and have never had a MB.

Wouldn't want anyone with a different opinion to seem as though they might be rationally thinking after all!

MB dealers do have a lot of weird shit like perfumes and handbags with their brand stamped on it, and unlike Ferrari where you're supposed to already be covered in the brand to show what a classy guy you are, they are way too friendly and want to get you into the brand.

I got a wine stopper with a gearshift knob handle a few months after i bought mine... gave it to someone else because it felt weird and tacky. I bought a cheap former loaner car and didn't even let their Finance Jews stick it into me by leasing or financing it. Kinda weird.
>>

I'm glad that stealing Honda badges and radios are a thing of the past in most of the civilized world. Kind of miss the 90's video quality and rampant drug usage that came along with that era, though. And of course the music.
