Even if you don't plan on going to WA /o/ Meets, at least read those WA threads above for OTHER general car meets in the area. Some of the major ones are mentioned along with how to get to them. So if you like the idea of non-driving meets where people park and look at each other's cars, then those other meets are described. So if you are a passive type, you can go to the non /o/ meets. I like how the threads aren't jealous about not mentioning the existence of other car events to go to. If /o/ is not for you, then at least you can still go to the non /o ones described.

But the WA /o/ group likes to have a good twisty drive in scenic areas that is then combined with either an adventure or an event. Past meets had scenic twisty driving along with shooting at a gun range, the MR2 adventure that took the place of the scenic trail exploration, and the ice cave exploration hike which also took place across a really nice boardwalk across a marsh with actual clean icey springs bubbling up out of the ground.

The WA ones have always been on Saturday. The driving part starts at 10AM and people gather together at a common point before then. Some times the driving starts late since people like to wait in case of a 15 minute late straggler.

The meeting place seems to be thoughtfully done. It's always got plenty of parking. There's gasoline nearby and restaurant that is open for those who want breakfast before driving. And there has always been a nearby open grocery store or supermarket for those who want to pick up snacks.

Yeah, someone needs to start up a WA Meet thread to gather the people together. Or else summer will pass by and the famous WA rainy season starts up again!

200+ cars every saturday night. 50+ caravans of cars going between meets. GT-Rs, NSXs, Evos, GNXs, Cobras, STis, kit cars, street rods, bikes, you name it.

Back then most of the meets were on or around Rivers ave, in big parking lots at 10-1 on either Friday or Saturday night. The most popular spot was a Sofa Super Store on the north part of Rivers, but I hear that's not there anymore. I found it by crusing up and down rivers at around 10pm and following all the modded Hondas.

There used to be a tuning shop with a dyno that would hold daytime meets on Dorchester but streetview shows that it's been demolished. The scene may be dead or in small groups now, but I haven't kept in contact with anyone.

The Mazda HQ parking structure in the spectrum has quite a large collection of old euro and burger cars too. We used to hang out in that area after canyon runs. Sometimes we'd get lucky and catch pre production Mazdas parked on the top floor.

Smaller groups are easier to manage. With /o/tists, coordinating groups bigger than 5 people can be a real challenge because some people will either be directionally challenged, want to drive like wangan midnight, or both.

If you want to get more peeps to come, Hold meets consistently and post pics of the turnout. When people see that the meets happen regularly and there are others that actually show up, more people will want come. Take the S/o/Cal mini meets for example. We normally meet early in the morning, and it started out last year with only 2-3 people showing up regularly. Now the mini meets have gotten so popular we've had to start using walkie talkies to keep things coordinated. Desert hoon and last weekend's San Diego meet were huge successes, with both meets having at least 8 cars show up.

Top Secret is where the company does work for the government or where there is a lot of problem with foreign espionage. Then they obtain copies of engineering data, programs, or ideas without paying the development fees. Since labor costs in china are low, it doesn't matter if they have time lag because their company will dominate the marketplace with the low-priced product anyways. So it doesn't matter if the foreign company invents the product first. It's who manages to sell the products that makes the money and not who spends the money inventing it.
