>what is being on your parents policy...
>>
>>17193883

ok some simple tips

>load up the policy with old twats
your mum/dad probably best, no more than 3 though as it might have a reverse effect
>check your postcode/parking situation
can you park it offroad if you HAVE to? well, now you can not quite lie to the insurance company about where it's kept. postcode is pretty bad luck though
>choose a different make/model
i found insurance on a starlet and a honda logo much cheaper than basic bitch fiestas and corsas because they are crashed far less, look at smaller, more obscure jappy cars if you can
>swallow your pride and get a black box
yeah it will cuck you for a few years but if you are really jewish then you might think it's worth it

also see if you can turn the auto-renewal section of your policy off, they will happily keep taking money off you if you don't notice
>>
>>17193883

>100 euromeme car
>7500 euromemes a year to insure

They literally expect you to write the car off 75 fucking times???
>>
>>17194007
If you crash into a Lambo do you think your 7500 euromemes is going to cover it?
>>
>>17193883
Only in UK. Those are some funny prices for such a shitbox car.

Buy a bit different.
I had an e46 wagon that was a lot cheaper than any hatchback because of their weird statistics.

Also try old shit, get something from the 80's or 90's and get a classic car policy. I got an 87 land rover for a weekend toy and its £200 a year to insure for me and a mate fully comp.

How is car ownership in Europe? Lot's of sports cars or luxury cars or just shitboxes everywhere?
>>
>>17194930
Europe is not EU you imbecile
>>
>>17193883
What did you even put in to achieve that.

This is why I never get those news stories with people that are still driving with >12 points because the insurance must be insane. Unless they just don't insure but I don't see how you can keep driving around uninsured after getting multiple points.
>>
>>17196124

Where I am in the UK is full of German cars and Landrovers. Fair amount of shitbox's but area is fairly middle class so more common to see German cars.
>>
>>17196124
lived in uk they had lots of shitboxes, boring cars and lots of exotics.
Now back in balt and most cars are german. JDM is cheap af but usually owned by real enthusiasts and exotics are rare. Most porches are used as track cars.

Gas is 1.2 eur a litre, can get it down to 1 eur if you join the loyality program.

Insurance in OP is beyond complete retardation but no surprise coming from a country where people get cucked daily by landlords, banks, insurance companies and their workplaces into living in identical shitty ugly brick houses stacked up to one another with no privacy, space or sound isolation.

Here my first car that was a sportscar, the insurance ran me 400 a year for the first year then dropped to 200 a year.

it all depends, balt is okay, greece is expensive shithole, italyits hard, scandi its expensive, britain you get fucked hard by everyone and then later once you turn 50 you can actually own something without spending all your wages on insurance.
>>
>>17196205
Nothing. That is uk insurance.
They get cucked by literally every single organisation in the country. And they say "tally ho carry on it'll get better"
It's amazing how ass backwards UK is.
Sure they earn more than balt but they are like 20 years behind the times.
>>
>>17193883
I ran it through some insurance company calculators and I couldn't get over 1000 eurobux/year with full coverage with the worst conditions:
>corsa 1.6 80kW
>new driver
>car had more than 10k driven last year
>every option selected
>no discounts
>>
>>17196133
most of europe is the eu you retard
>>
>>17193883
>What's even the point of owning a car in UK?
Fixed that for you.
>>
>>17196133
Most of the Europe isn't Britain either
>>
>>17196124
I live in Sweden, Stockholm more specifically

quite a lot of sports/luxury cars in nicer areas, rs6's, m3's, c63's, porsche's, ferraris etc

shitboxes are plenty in poorer areas and in small towns

lots of < 3 year old cars that are basically company cars, and then people buy them

lots of diesels, I don't mind though, they're nice for everyday driving
>>
>>17196392
i pay ( half insurance )
Mercedes e320 w210: 270€/year
Golf Mk3: 230€:Year
Fiesta mk2:170€year
Volvo 850: 220€/year
>>
>>17193883
Is this insurance against bodily injury or against theft?

the insurance I do is against physical damage or bodily injury resulting from traffic collisions and against liability that could also arise there from and Third-party vehicle insurance.

also insurance here is expensive as fuck
>>
>>17193883
I insure my 5.0 liter V8 sports car cheaper than in America
>>
300€ a year for my E32 750
420€ a year for my E38 750
280€ a year for my E34 530

A bit on the expensive side but I've been doing some dumb shit so my rates are up
>>
>>17193883

700€ a year for a Toyota Yaris 1.3.

1st year of driving in this country tho.
>>
Maybe if young people stopped crashing all the time they wouldn't need to pay so much for insurance.
literally get gud.
>>
>>17196460
This. Teens aren't paying 7000 quid a year on their old shitbox to insure damage to their old shitbox, but to insure damage done to others in their old shitbox.
>>
why cant you get a black box?
mines pretty cheap because I got one
>>
>>17193883
I'm guessing that it assumed or you put down that you're 17 on a provisional license/live in one of the worst areas in the country, and that those old Corsas get crashed/stolen constantly.
[fakespoiler]t. britbong who passed his test less than half a year ago and is only paying about £460/year for a much nicer car[/fakespoiler]
>>
>>17196236
what cunt?
Uk is worse than a lot worse than actual Europe for insurance
>>
Where I live insurance isn't expensive, what's expensive is the displacement tax which makes it hard to get a car with more than 2.0 litres for a middle class person. Most cars are hatchback econoboxes and e36 316-318 bmws.Still come across some JDM or German luxury cars, but US cars are non existent except for ford chevy econoboxes
>>
>>17196227
>>17196392
Huh. I sort of got the impression that nearly all of Europe was a place where 1.2L shitbox hatchbacks were the vast majority. The way guys put it, it sounds better than Australia really. Most of the cars here are Jap crossovers, an overwhelming number of Korean cars, and occasional Chinese stuff.

UK is not Europe. Fuck off, island monkey,
>>
Here's the trick in poorland:
Until 21-24 you insure your car on family member with max discounts.
Then you buy a scooter (can be only frame) for 200-300$ and insure it for 50-100$/y. You can drive it or not, your call
When you're 26, you have max insurance discounts (provided you didn't crash your car earlier).
Now I pay about 150$ for 2.0l hatch
t:slav, who saved 700-1000$ that way.

Still, too many factors making the price of car insurance (place of residence, car model, fucking number of doors and displacement).
>>
>>17196503
Well you're not wrong when it comes to Poland. Most of cars are jap econoboxes or cheap VAG TDIs
>>
>>17196481
Slovenia. Registering and Insuring anything with a 1.8l or less with 75kW or less is kind of cheap (gets cheaper every year because of bonuses). But as soon as you go with a bigger engine the cost goes up exponentially.

>>
I'm currently in Europe, I was hoping to see cool European cars here but it's disappointing.
Literally the only fast cars I remember seeing on the road here in a month was one Megane RS, and two 5.0 Mustangs. Literally everything else seems to be a gutless, boring shitbox. At least at home there are muscle cars and such around every corner.
>>
>>17196124
Dutchfag here, tons of brand new shitboxes because everything else is stupidly expensive and a fuckton of basic bitch leased diesel BMWs and VAG products.
Also a lot of hybrids because they get big tax discounts and crossovers because people want to feel safe.
>>
>>17196603
Sucks to be you, I live in a nice part of Europe and all I see every day are Range Rovers
>>
>>17196565
Who's the SEMENDEMON
>>
>>17196227
we have JDM "Euronus roadsters" MX5/Miatas everywhere in the uk
>>
Cheaper cars are more expensive to insure because they assume that you will drive more recklessly.
>>
I paid 700 got my first year on a rover 25. You're doing it wrong.
>>
>imported RX7
>400whp

Why would you put anything more than liability (or whatever you call the equivalent over there) on a £100 car?
>>
>>17196565
Would ejaculate inside
>>
>>17196707

It was probably so cheap because the insurance company didn't expect it to leave the driveway

I'm 21, 6000 annual, parked in a garage. I don't have any no claims though. The thing making it expensive is a motoring conviction for causing death by dangerous driving.

This might be the one thing I like about Burgerland. Other than living in London, and fuck that, you don't see a lot sports cars in the UK. That or it's because I live in Manchester.

poland here. literally anything goes, mostly fairly good maintained 15-20 imported middle class shitboxes, but once you leave the city, prepare to see utter crap that barely moves and its was patched in 10 different places and passed yearly inspection only because of properly alingned lights. Lot of people use propane as their main fuel (~15%)
>>
>>17193883
>Being 18 with 2 cancelled policies and 9 points

Well duh your insurance will be stupid expensive
>>
>>17196868
In a strange bit of regulation fully compd is normally cheaper than third party only
>>
>>17202020

People who usually go third party onlyare less concernedwith the condition of the car and more likely to drive wrecklessly, at least that's how the logic goes.

This is mainly because hot hatches became cheap in the late 90s and were suddenly fast enough for kids to get into major accidents, but cheap enough to ensure through third party only. Hence now fully comp is a bit cheaper, and encourages you to drive more nicely.
