How much horsepower were these things pushing? Between 300-400?
eclipse probably mid 300s
rx7 400s maybe
supra should be 600+

No way, thats a fuckload of power back then. That would probably be when the nos is used, but driving around probably mid-high 200s

that eclipse allegedly cost $80,000
>>17190046
The Eclipse was a stock N/A 2L 135hp
RX7 was a stock 255hp twin turbo with cosmetic Nitrous install.
The Supra was a 700hp (+100hp nitrous) 3.1L single turbo unit belonging to the technical advisory for the film.
The Charger was a 335hp (280 net) 440ci Chrysler B, it's a wounder the barge moved. With the Hemi engined car only being used for stationary shots with the hood up.

>Eclipse was a stock
We're talking about the same car r-right?
>>17190146
Yes. You are aware this was a movie right? The cars were props and not what they were alleged to be on screen.

lol no
they built most of the cars for real. They exist. Multible copies of them exist.
Most stunts were real.
The cars actually were close irl to what they were on screen.
The one in tokyo drift, the rx7 was actually a real top tier tuner godmachine. They actually made a GTR engined muscle car for toyko drift.
FNF series is based.

no thanks

Actually for the first three films most of the "hero" cars were rented from local tuners then basic replicas were created for the stunts, the replicas had an even lower spec than the rented cars. In the first film the only hero car that had decent engine mods was the Supra.

I watched the behind the scenes. All the cars are bone stock. They just used cutters to chop the springs. And drilled holes in exhaust to get boy racer sounds, they just put chrome tips on. The only mods are visual.
the tokyo drift monte carlo had a 572 merlin in it. or maybe it was something bigger.
