Is that even legal? Why would you make it easier for cops/cameras to see your shit?
It's so cool that it crosses over into stupid.

If your plate is in any way hard getting in the way of these things seeing it you're already breaking the law, you can't really make your plates any easier to see than they already are.

What if you have the light up feature show different letters that what is actually on the plate? Then you can get hektik and they wont really have your plates

Faking plate numbers here is only a misdemeanor (one of the more severe ones). But having fake plate numbers in the commission of a crime is a felony. So if you do a hit and run such as a love tap in a parallel parking, and the officer sees you didn't leave a note, you can be charged with a felony.
We had a case a number of years ago where a drunk driver hit and killed a pedestrian. Because he had fake identification, he was charged with murder instead of DUI manslaughter because of pre-meditation of the plate ID. It showed an intent to commit a crime and get away with it.
So, if you commit a crime with fake plates, just be aware of what you are in for if you do get caught in your state. Remember, the officer can cite you for a misdemeanor, but a prosecutor can review the case and adjust the charges to be a felony. If he doesn't, then you got super lucky.
