Im looking at picking up a rust free teggy shell for 500 bucks to make into a clean car, fresh paint full interior bumpin subs and a ps2 for the passenger. but my hatch is the race car, and being a race car it has a compeltly stripped interior including dash and since it already has no interior who really cares how it looks on the outside, sleeper status when my 500 dollars hatch smokes your 14 grand bmw. Good luck picking up chicks in a civic. My e39 540i turns heads (attention from the right people not rice fags) and with a 4500 dollar supercharger kit it makes a crispy 550 to 600hp. Yeah its pigfat but it still pulls on all the b and k swapped hondas that push an astonishing 230hp and looks great doing it. Dont even get me started on sound.

2002 e39 540 got it for 2800 cad$ put a 300 dollar muffler and got free m5 rims from my buddy. Not gonna count sound systems. The supercharger is 4500 cad as well. Even cheaper for turbo especially if you can do some of the work yourself. My buddy just finished building a k24 ek. Cost him 14k to build an actually clean and pro track car. He makes 350whp. Sure hes faster around the track but we were talking about picking up chicks and petty street drag racing.

well the problem is both cars were old so its not likely a fair comparison as I felt the Civic was better taken care of, both had over 200k miles

the Sentra is fast (speaking of its time and for what it is and compared to the Civic) but the chassis always felt... loose?

I dont know how to describe it

like it wasnt as solid as the Civic which felt confident and relatively flat in the corners

now it made for some hilarious moments on the twisties but it was kinda uneasy feeling

if the suspension was stiffened up some and maybe some bracing on the chassis it would be good I think

the SR20 in revved higher than the D16A6 and of course made a shit ton more power and it had an LSD too

the transmission wasnt as firm or as crisp as the Honda either

on the highway it liked to pop out of 5th too

I got rid of it before fixing shit it was just a beater to me

overall Id say if you can find one in good shape or have the money to do some small fixes its a good underrated shitbox

They're hard to find, but look for an NX. It's a B13 Sentra with a more aerodynamic body, a liftback hatch, t-tops, larger brakes, and a stiffer suspension. There's two trims. The 1600 sucks, but the 2000 is an upgraded ser. For the time it was faster than anything comparable and its handling was considered Lotus tier.
