A guy wants to sell me a 2013 WRX with a clean carfax, clean VHR, full maintenance records for 20k. Should I? It has 54k miles

b-but with a f-few simple mods
you can fix ids undersdeer!
Any subi made after 2004 isn't a real WRX sti

It's not an STI anyway, its a wrx
>>17179260
no, 20k is amount of lease buy back price of brand new WRX, why waste money on 2013 with 2.5 and 50k of vape filled miles ?
Without knowing the price, it's hard to say. But I'd say no.

>Without knowing the price
The op is two sentences and includes the price. 20k
>>17179288
Very true but it depends on how much he drives. Lease is only 36 thousand miles. I drive more than that in a year.

>leasing
This is great for people that don't drive.

54K is nearing the 60K maintenance which is ~$700 from a dealer if you plan on keeping it under any kind of remaining warranty (if it has one). Sounds like you're buying private party so I doubt you can work that into a deal.
I had the same year WRX and sold it before that mark. They're fun little cars, and as long as they took good care of it it'll be fine. That being said, here are the cons I experienced:
-Maintenance is decently high and needs to be kept up with on these. I forget if it's 60K or 90K the plugs need changed and that's not the easiest task.
-NVH is horrible with gens before 2015. Expect rattles, squeaks, and excessive road noise you'll never get rid of.
-Engine is gutless until about 3.5/4K RPM. It doesn't move worth a damn before that.
-They eat gas for a 4cyl. I would average about 20 MPG in 90% highway driving. About 14-16 MPG in city.

I personally get tired of same car within year or 2, does not matter power or what type.
Lease works great for me, beat it up for few years, throw stock parts back and BAM !!
time for new toy !!

Damn sound dampeners dont do shit?

Insurance on a brand new leased wrx would be the same cost as the lease kek

Subaru just did a really poor job with it on previous gens. I remember seeing forum posts of guys that lined under carpets with that stuff and it got a bit better, but you'll just never get rid of it. The vibrations/rattles are just inherent to Subaru interiors honestly.
