Do you double clutch?
>>17170868
yes but I drive an ae86 with a button clutch so its fairly necessary. Its a learning curve remembering to do it without over rev
>>17170881
we call it rev matching and its not needed driving anything smaller than a truck
I float
>>17170868
My car has a synchromesh tranny so no

>we call it rev matching
Wat.
Rev matching can be used to shift without using the clutch at all.
>>17170868
If your car was made post 1960s, there's no need to "double clutch". I do however revmatch.
>>17170868
Only in a Ford Model A because the trans isn't synchronized
unnecessary and retarded otherwise
>>17170906
rev matching and double declutcing are two different things.
I revmatch my motorbike for smooth gear changes. I can't double declutch it because I that's a huge waste of time and effort.

When I need to shift to first before coming to a complete stop, I double clutch to make it easier to shift. I am not sure if it helps.
>>17170868
No because I have a modern manual transmission with syncros
I genuinely have never understood how double-clutching helps anything. It seems like it just wastes time.
