Do you own a multimeter. I would start tracking down the current. First check at fuse box, then at switch.

You probably have a short at the radio installation.

Yes i bought it from a Honda dealership, it was a trade in and was inspected at the dealer before being sold. Did not note any issues along these lines.

48k miles. It does have service records, had 2 previous owners no accidents nothing reported that raised any alarms at the time of purchase.

My first thought is the battery. Try jumping the car. If it starts, there's likely a problem with your charging system, either a bad ground wire, or the alternator could be fucked. I wouldn't put the alternator out of the realm of possibility. My first car used to blow through alternators every 30k like clockwork

I own a JDM 350z aka Fairlady Z. There are two fuseboxes, one is behind the kick panel at drivers sets. I believe the fuse for dash backlight/radio is there. Also like 3 years ago a fuse for dash back light blown on its own for no apparent reason, I replaced it and had no issues since (I run OEM Bose system, only changed front tweeters/speakers).

If the fuses are OK then you should check dash/radio connectors.
