Nissan 300zx, hopefully the tarbo version. It just looks so good. Especially the rear end hnng!

A Camaro ZL1. i may not be able to see out of it but i can definitely see myself owning one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObpcGNCU944

close friend owns one: biggest issue is the cramped engine bay and the fact that the fucking rb26 bolts right up but noooooo pigfat pisspowerless v6

fun to drive but too heavy
(i dd'd it for about 3 months while he was out of town just to keep it on the road since it liked to have starting and idling issues if it sat too long)

the aforementioned cramped engine bay leads to this issue as literally no one maintains the poor things.

just take care of it or source an RB swap but keep in mind that if you have the electronic leveling system prepare for costly repairs when it fails or a full delete

I've tried to like the FiST, FoST and FoRS but I just don't like it as much as the original Focus SVT. God damn I want this car so much. In this color preferably. EAP would be best. I'm looking for one with <100k miles. If I find it, it's bought. Easily my favorite hot hatch.

They're impossible to find with less than like 200k miles, and even those are rare, because anyone who own an SVT keeps it. But, they also can't really sell them for much because most people just see an old ass focus, and hatchbacks are an acquired taste anyway.
>>
>>17162802
I've got one with 82k miles on it. Bought it a year and a half ago with 75k on the clock. It's such a fun car.
Of course, I paid $5k on it because "hurr durr muh rare car tax". Still kinda worth it.

Fuck yeah. Nice, anon. I'm jealous. I'd say 5k is definitely worth it for 75k miles, I wouldn't miss that deal. But still more than I'd like to pay for a 15+ year old car. And people sell SVTs with WAY more miles for the same price.

Most good hatchbacks from that era have that "i know what i've got" tax. People will straight up sell the shittiest EP3 Civic Si with 250k miles on it for 5 grand like they have some mint condition gem just because it's slightly sought after by a handful of autists like me.

A nicely maintained and rust free Fiat 128

Pros
>Super aesthetic, you can literally paint it with shit and itll look good, hell, if you squint really hard it linda resembles a Lancia fulvia lmao
>Super basic engine components and you can literally get parts everywhere
>Forged pistons, race cams and such are really cheap compared to those same parts for other vehicles
>Can be acquired dirt cheap, all the way from 800 usd (which is cheap for a car where im from) to maybe 3k for a well maintained or properly restored one
>For 5k you can get an original factory race prepared

Cons
>Rust in these bitches is hard af. Its not uncommon to see rust paths in these vehicles on the rear quarter panels following the projection of water/dirt
>Fiat reliability isnt necesarily the best
>>

I'd like to argue that they're not that hard to find, at least here in Wisconsin. I own an 02 SVT Focus with only 77,200 miles on it, bought it two years ago with only 54,800. It has a few problems with killing O2 sensors all the time, and the IMRC getting stuck open but otherwise it's an awesome car. I daily it, great in winter and better in summer.

There's a guy in our club up in Maribel Wisconsin who owns a company called Speedway Recyclers. Dude has over 60 SVT Focuses that he works on and sells.

Every single one of these is clapped out to fuck, rusting apart or it's someones project that they won't finish.

They only come with a V8, no I6 option and so many of them are automatic. And they're a part of the early smog era so there's usually a rats nest of emissions equipment in there too.

I'm having stupid, stupid thoughts of building one of these, but using the transaxle from an FWD Audi A8 and the V10 from a C6 S6 or D3 S8. It'd be like a baby R8 except half the weight.

I doubt the V10 would even fit in the engine compartment, but a man can dream.

Previous owner was a doof.

Over heated and blew head gasket. Rebuilt the heads and block. 60/62 turbos. Exhaust ,intake, pulley, intercoolers, injectors, tune, standalone TCM.

I just got denied for abarth 124 spider. With a 770 credit score. Idfk. Now I'm looking at a 2001 boxster S. Yay tech downgrade....and hp downgrade...and heavy as fuck. They said they'd approve if I got a cosign for the abarth but that ain't happening, druggy brother fucked that all up. I'm sad anons.
>>
>>17169498
Tech (and aesthetic) downgrade sure, but I'm pretty sure even the first gen Boxster S has more power than the Abarth and it's still a fantastic handling car.

Plus, two trunks.

>>17170009
Yea it's gonna have more power than the abarth forsure. But less power than my current car. The whole point of doing this was to get rwd, and super light/low and still keep relative tech and payments. Boxster S is gonna be comparable power to current but it's also gonna weigh nearly the same which is xbawkzhueg at 3000lbs. Think I'm just gonna say fuck it and just not get anything and keep mine...just kinda let down, I take pride in not fucking going nuts with credit and just buying up everything and defaulting like most of my friends yet I get fucked still while doing that.
>>
>>17169498
Lol let me guess, good credit with no income ?
>>
>>17170295
No lol I work full time and have been at my company for four years. Do people seriously apply to buy brand new cars while unemployed? How in the balls do they think that's going to work? Even if they got it, how the fuck would they keep up with payments? Anyway, they said my credit history is small, since I only started really using credit for stuff about a year and a half ago when I got my car and a couple other things I couldn't outright purchase through just saving and some patience like I had done previously throughout my life. I just always had the outlook of it being more responsible to just buy something in cash and have it myself to know 100% that I could afford it no matter what.

I want one just like this. I prefer the R33 I think it has the most presence. R32 looks too old and R34 is overpriced as shit because lol f&f.

Alternatively there's a RX8 for sale near me but I don't want to fall into the dorito pit.
