The year is 2021, Ford has a big press conference and unveils a new engine for their mustang. They pull the curtains and a new 3.5L V6 engine is shown in a prototype for the next model year.
It is turbo charged, makes 450hp and gets 26 mpg avg. combined. Its based off the ford gt's V6 but is detuned, made for mass production and can handle everyday driving.
However, the engine will be put in the GT model. A V8 is only attainable in the Shelby version due to new regulations and company costs.
The ecoboost 4 cylinder also gets a nudge from 310hp to 345hp, makes it a viable enthusiast alternative for those on a budget
How does /o/ feel about the death of the V8, can we call it a muscle car anymore?

>implying a mustang was ever a muscle car
Now I think about it. What should we call the current mustang.
The V8 is a muscle car, the V6 is a rental car and the 4 Cylinder is a tuner car.
What the hell is Ford trying to pull with the current mustang.

I won't complain too much. I'll still have my fox and my next fun car will be an 818.
I will continue to not give a shit until they make the cars smaller and lighter again.

Yeah it will never work right?

Nah, im picking up an ecoboost next month. I love the stangs. Just saying its crazy how 1 car can be a tuner/muscle and a rental car at the same time.

Atleast the ford f150 is faster than the corvette

I got a 2016 f1fiddy with the 5.0. Sometimes I put my foot into it to hear the engine but the gears are too fucking short. It's really quick for a big truck

Bitch they are already puting a 450 HP V6TT in the Raptor.
Hopefully in 2021 they move away from the two ton platform.
I find it insulting that they could even think of giving a car like the Mustang an ecoboost option.
>Burning fuel and tyres was its job.
>more RWD turbo cars
Sweet

Uh, remember the SVO?
