well, that's the default option, as i really loved it, however it is not certain that i can get a 1.7 in the country currently
Also i wanted to see if i am missing some other kind of car that could be fun, as this is an opportunity to try that one as well(i was looking at honda CRX 1st or 2nd gen as well).

Over here (Portugal) I'm seeing around a couple dozen currently selling, and a lot more base models 1.4. I don't think they'd be really hard to find around.

Anyway, other options are a Clio Sport, 106 GTi/Rallye/XSi, maybe even a Mk2 Golf GTI or a 205 GTi, if you're willing to spend some time restoring it to shape.
