what do you think is the best bang-for-your-buck performance mod?

i think a proper rear sway bar is the best value for money as far as performance goes.

Tires.

intake
exhaust
tire
>>
>>17093661
this was a close second for me but they are too expensive for how short of a lifespan they have imo.
>>
>>17093660
tune. always the very first thing I do.

It's tires

Tuning the nut behind the wheel.

Tires.

This. The Organic Conduction Interface on most cars is shit, if yoy upgrade it you can really improve any car's performance.

Cutting the exhaust off after the 1st o2 sensor

Makita lowering springs

Cutting holes in your airbox

All good because they're free

>what do you think is the best bang-for-your-buck performance mod?
Not letting OP drive, most likely.
>No, on the car
Tires. Hands down. The rest of it doesn't matter without sticky tires.
>>
Lightening the vehicle by removing unneeded features, like the rear anf passenger seats, upholstery from the doors and interior trunk lid, airbag assemblies, emissions systems and spare tire.
>>
>>17093789
Don't do any of this if you aren't going to use it as a track car.
>>
>>17093789

Do all of this and tell people you aren''t a freakin bus driver.
>>
>>17093672
Intake and exhaust are way more context sensitive
Many cars don't have any flow restrictions stock so the money spent on them is wasted until you can get the engine to take advantage of the increased airflow.
>>
>>17093751
Yes, but surely there must be something that does a little more per dollar than they do given that a decent set of tires can be north of $600.
>>
>>17093926
Besides free weight reduction, I doubt it. Traction is limited by your tires, and basically everything else is limited by traction.
>>
>>17093926
Invest in some good tires you fucking nigger. What is all the power good for if your wheels cant transfer them to the pavement?
>>
>>17093926
what kind of vehicle are we talking about here?
>>
>>17093660
>i think a proper rear sway bar is the best value for money as far as performance goes.

that is absolutely retarded
how in the fuck could such a broad statement, encompassing every vehicle ever made, possibly be true?

pro tip: it aint
>>
for less than 100$ you can make a mega impact on the performance of your car

Oh, removing the heater core, blower motor and A/C systems as well. You can use a little fan that runs off the cigar lighter if you get warm.

Rear sway bar if your car is fwd. Helps a bunch

Any car? Lowering springs can help a lot for looks and feel of the car. Catback exhaust can be done for 300 bucks or less. Brake pads.

Most of all, doing a tune up on your car to get it back to its best condition for modding.

If you need to modify your car to increase performance, you should have spent that money on a better car in the first place.
