>tail compartment

They were always more inconvenient to access than they were to use. Fashion features for people too insecure to bolt a basic bitch rack where the grab rails go and tie down a box with a latch on it. Or just tie it to the tail since the tail is skinny enough and far enough from the wheel to get a bunch of cord around

I constantly run out of ground clearance and scrape with those tires. They're surprisingly sticky for what they are. Plenty for having fun on a 250 shitbike that is also a commuter.

Looking to pick up an XRR soon to run real sticky rubber on a bike with enough power to justify it.

This to be honest, my bike has a large compartment under the seat for storing things and it is not really an inconvenience to get to it at all considering the lock that takes the seat off is also the lock used to fasten your helmet to the bike.

It's good for emergency tools, the odd replacement cable/lever, and vehicle registration. That's about it. And you don't need a six pack of beer in space for that. You could probably even get all the spare breakables into most modern sportbikes with tools.

well lets just call it a factor, do you own a car? I don't, I ride 2 or less wheeled vehicles everywhere I go, in any weather. started with bicycles, expanded to a scooter, then a moto, then a 2nd moto, and a unicycle fits in there somewhere, as you already know im sure, you need more than a bike to get pussy, a personality helps.

You mean for people who are smart enough to realize you don't need a bike that's worse by design to carry shit. Doubly so if you know/are a welder. Custom racks all day erry day.

You absolutely could not ride that bike properly with that bag, not that it was ever intended to be put on one.

I mean just for a start unless you're >6' you'd have to ride with your arms straight just to get your chest clear of the bag, and it would be impossible to see the gauges.

Honestly, why doesn't one of the boutique manufacturers (or even just one of the Japanese marques, in small numbers) bring back inline-4 250s.

>inb4 but it costs too much

Yeah, of course it does; but not all small-capacity bikes have to be marketed as 2-wheeled econoboxes for developing economies.

>inb4 no replacement for displacement

Except maybe 20,000RPM and 45HP (probably insanely higher provided modern technology) in a package you could deadlift.

why not just put a thumper 250 engine in something?
Most 250cc MX/enduro engines are making 40-45hp and they weigh not even half as much as an inline 4 250.

Nobody wants a 120kg sport bike for the street unless they're in the mood to die. ~350lbs is pretty much the lightest you can make a fully faired bike with any kind of highway stability whatsoever (they are still a fucking bitch in crosswinds) They can make cheap steel frame 250-400cc bikes that light now so there's not any motivation to make fancy aluminium frames or anything.

Dirt bikes naturally get scratched up. With bare plastics it doesn't look too bad because the plastic is one color all the way through so no gashes make gaps in color. If you put on stickers they will show big gashes as they get scratched up and show the color underneath.

Grafix made for dirt bikes are made of a thick plasticy material so it doesn't get scratched up as easily and they can get by a little better.

Also any paint on dirt bike plastics universally looks like shit.

>>
>>17093040
Uncle Sam doesn't come in to play, it is your state of residence that is the issue. It do-able in most states, though the registration process can be a bit off. In some you can get away with doing a 'non-plated vehicle registration'. Others require a kit registration. The cost can vary significantly as well. Some states will require surety bonds be held against the vehicle if you are registering one without an existing title, but they aren't that bad.
>>
>>17093040

You can import whatever you want. No need to disassemble. The problem comes when you go to register it. It can be done with older vehicles (20+ years) though there are hoops and red tape. If you could buy a compatible frame here you can just bolt whatever the hell you want to it and register it under the VIN for that frame.

Hey /dbt/ please cheer me up, I had my first accident involving another car.
Just my feet hurt and it's not broken.
And I need to replace front Brake handle, bike didn't skid. For the women it's a few scratches and a little bent on the side of the car so it's wont cost much I hope.

have you guys ever registered a salvage title before?

Am I destroying my motorbike by using it in very short travels?

I mainly use it everyday to go to class (around 40 min walking distance, or 10 min on bike).

It barely gets to running temperature when I reach there. So almost every km I run on it, it is below normal temperature

Is that bad for the motorcycle, or does it not matter, as long as I don't rev it high when cold?

it can be bad if it never gets up to temp and you have condensation in your crankcase that doesn't evaporate

realistically, it probably won't matter though

A 2002 Ford Ka
60 hp maybe
0-100 kmh in like 15 seconds
Manual windows, no powered door locks.
No AC
Really fun in a way that slow bikes are fun though, since it accelerates like dogshit you tend to try to keep your speed into the turn.

Also have pic related

Okay so I just had a small high side on the pavement, reggardless how, I'm home and gud, but my foot is in a good bit of pain, I can walk on it and can barely move it, feels like theres pressure all around my ankle, I've never broken a bone so I can't say what it feels like, can also move all my toes. I should probably have this x-rayed huh, just wondering what my course of action is from you guys

You think I should call am ambulance for this? I could wait about 5 hours and have my mother take me, my whole ankle is swollen to fug, I CAN walk on it and put weight on it

And as for costs, mom works at a hospital and my young ass is still on the family plan so I aint got nothin to worry about, great insurance
>>
>>17093807
Just wait, no need for an ambulance, broken ankle probably. You don't feel it yet because of adrenaline, once you sleep you'll be in a lot of pain

Only call the amberlamps if you physically cannot move, me I'd either wait or call an uber to the Hospital.

You may also depending where you are be able to call the police non-emergency line and get a non-emergency medical lift to the hospital if there in an officer just playing with his dick in his hidey-hole.

0-60 : it's like 12 seconds because I like my clutch

It's a pile of shit but at least it's got some versatility and a trailer hitch which is nice. have to get a new wheel for it since I drove over a ladder on the highway, quite surprised that it was only the one wheel/tire that got fucked up.

owned a car 3 years ago, it was a toyota corolla SE small body, 1992.

full tinted windows, even windshield was like 90% tint, loud exhaust, lowered by cutting the spring suspension on all wheels..

stock seats, so it didn't even have seatbelts in the back.

slow as fug, but the AC was cool and ladies liked the car for some reason...
