Lets play a game, where we go to the classifieds and find the biggest potential moneypit that we can.

Rules are that it has to be drivable, so no Veyrons that have been smashed or literal piles of rust, and bonus points for really obscure stuff.

I will get the ball rolling with these wedges of motoring magnificence and bankruptcy

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLLS-ROYCE-SILVER-SPUR-II-AUTO-/132065991022?hash=item1ebfbf196e:g:JLQAAOSwa~BYNhJ1

>extremely complex
>rust like fuck
>extortionate parts
>no one knows how to work on them
>>
A neglected example of one of these. Can't currently find one on my local Craigslist equivalent, but
>Maserati-sourced V6
>way ahead of its time, very complex hydraulics running all throughout the car
>relatively rare, making parts hard to find
>from a time when rustproofing wasn't really a thing
>only specialists at the time were even willing to work on them

I mean, have you even seen that engine bay?
>>
>>17087246
That is a great shout, totally forgot about them. Found a couple, this one looks semi ok:
But this one is an utter lost cause. Don't know if it meets the "drivable" criteria but fuck it

>I mean, have you even seen that engine bay?
Even worse than the Jag XJS Z12 one. Jesus

>leave interior and exterior in this exact condition
>swap in some random V6 with decent parts support and a transaxle that will let it stay FWD
>take off everything that doesn't work and rewire it with a hot rod harness
Would make a pretty interesting rat rod.

>>17087283
That second one physically hurts to look at.

unf
you can probably fit 6 doritos in there
>>
>>17087471
I mean it fits 12 cylinders, 6 doritos isn't much of a stretch.

What about this gem:

>shit wheels
>very cheap
>cheap private plate
>early model
>167k
>lpg conversion
>minor fault with suspension
And the best part
>could be an easy fix?
>NO MESSERS
>NO TIMEWASTERS

Don't they have some ridiculously complex vacuum / hydraulic braking system? What a find
>>
>>17087575
I love how he talks about how great and solid the car was before being parked up as if 23 years in "storage" has has no effect on it

How much would it cost to run these cars? I really want that silver spur now.
>>
>>17087620
A quick google turned this up, I think the TL;DR is basically eye watering

Car and classic is the land of memed cars and stupid prices.
