A lot of stores have 8.3 x 2.4, or other weird sizes, it's not really that much longer, but it will be noticeably shorter than other slaps on peoples cars. Stick to 8x2.75 or 8.25x3 or 8x3 for slaps, unless the design really calls for 8x2.5 or whatever. I try to keep all of mine at 8 inches wide, but play with the length however works best with the design.

Honestly back in the day no one cared about the dimensions but some Japanese car clubs did have variations of dimensions for a sticker since they did have some motorcylces in their club.
Just keep it 8" wide, I used to use 8x2.75 which I took off the speedhunter slap dimensions but doesn't really matter on height, generally base it on the design I'm doing but keep it at 8" wide

Have they been on the car for a few days in a hot place? If yes, they should be fine, but if even 1 little part of a sticker gets water in the corners it will face a slow death soon enough.

If you're going into a wash with those spinner things, better hope they're not that abrasive or it can even rip your sticker.

Just go for it and see what happens, but I'd recommend a touchless car wash, or a hand wash in your own driveway.

I bought a jet tag from someone else recently and theirs was folded in a piece of paper, and taped over the ring, so it "felt" flat when you touched the envelope.

Usually with metal, you have to mail in the more expensive packet system, not regular envelopes, so this company mailed by taping over the ring so it was separated from the jet tag and made it feel flat.

People mail stuff in envelopes all the time, they never get "destroyed" to warrant spending an extra 10% on his costs. His stickers are cheap and include shipping in $5, 10% of that is 50 cents, which is around the cost of 1 single rigid mailer. Factor in shipping for $1, plus the cost of the sticker, that is $2.50, then factor in the fee paypal takes, which is 50 cents nearly on $5, and you have barely a $2 profit margin, or 40% of your revenue. It is much less when you factor in the cost of his shop front, and the time he spends packaging the rigid mailers, plus the cost of transportation to and from the post office.

It matters when his margins are so low. A responsible business owner would not cut into his margins so drastically to dress up envelopes and provide an illusion of safety, when mail has made it around the world without damage for decades in regular envelopes.

But you don't think this far ahead, it seems.

I had to cut open each one with my knife and taped then flat. And i added 21 cents for non machineable mail.

All new orders iv sent out are fine. But the first batch is all cut so I could lay the keychains flat.

Rigid mailers are cool but not entirely necessary.
I've shipped in paper envelopes with 110lb cardstock inserts. Over 150+ orders that way and none have arrived damaged.
Shit, you could probably remove the cardstock and just use printer paper and 9 times out of 10 it will arrive fine. But cardstock will get 10 times out of 10 and for that, it's worth it.

Rigid mailers are cool as shit. But i prefer offering 1 dollar shipping personally. I'll probably add a rigid mail with tracking service if I can figure out how to do it on Bigcartel.
