I want to cam my truck. Right now I have a TBI 350 5.7. Would it make more sense to change to carb from TBI and cam it or just swap to a 5.3 and cam it?

TBI 350 do not like cam swaps. TBI's like vacuum and the cam swap fucks with it. You would either have to carb swap or get the ECM flashed. It will run, but it will run like hammered dogshit

Sounds tough.
Also, check what heads you have. Most guys highly recommend swapping to correct heads. If I remember correctly, most TBI heads are shit. Vortex heads can be had for pretty cheap, check a local machine shop.
