If you aren't a wizard tier pleb, and are at least slightly normie, then the best shoes are the Vans Old Skool. I have both the white sole and gum sole, both excellent for driving. I use them both for bmx as well so theres that I guess.

I've conditioned myself to be able to drive in any foot wear from bare feet to steel toed snow boots. Apparently I was special for being able to drive stick with sandals.

I just wear my Sk8-hi vans. Literally any shoes. It literally doesn't matter.

My feet are too big for shoes in my miat.

I have about ten pairs of New Balances because it's one of the few brands I can find that make a comfortable and accurate size 15. It's either that or my Red Wings. And size 15 Red Wings are way too fucking big for driving as much as I do.

Have been using these a lot during driving lately.

Only the really long pointy fancy shoes are a problem in some cars, as they get stuck.

I also drive barefoot, but these are uniornically some of the best feeling shoes. Skate shoes are pretty meh for driving and other foot work, but I don't want to look like an autist wearing NBs errywere

As long as the shoes are not too tight, that is good.

After that, I like stiff soles because that supports my foot without it being tired. The back of the heel rests on the floor as it presses the accelerator. So if I was using sandals, my foot would get more tired due to more muscles being used to hold it up within the sandals as well as a smaller part of the heel pressing on the textured floor mat surface. So, that's why I would never use sandals or bare feet. Bare feet aren't legal here anyways.
