I kinda like them but they're supposedly the worst gen of Golfs.

Personally I like the 7, 4 and 2

Theres still a shitload of them around, considering how old they are. Id be inclined to say that mk4 is worst in terms of reliability.

I have a bit of a soft spot for these since my dad still drives a Passat from the same generation with the 2.slow. Those engines just will not die.

i already did the toothbrush and toothpaste trick, it helped a little but i want to get some halos in the future. theres also the little aftermarket foglights to help, no idea why they were added but they were already on there when i bought it. theres a bunch of stuff i want to do to it. its slow but reliable from what ive heard so im doing my best to treat it right mechanically and cosmetically.
