I have no idea what you're saying. Does the cat drive fine on asphalt roads but on sand roads the tires just spin when you try to drive normal? Or the car just dies when you try to move on sand. If you bought it from a random guy they can lie about what work they've done. If you bought it from a business or dealership you should have gotten a write up of work done. Is English your first language? Stall can mean engine stalls(shuts off). Or car stalls (won't move forward)

The engine shuts off if you are applying a lot of force to the engine. If that makes sense. As in theres no way to go full throttle in sand and let the tires spin. I almost stalled the car trying to drift it in sand, to try to give you a better picture.


Also, after getting it unstuck it idles at 4k. Im figuring i also broke some throttle sensor at the same time and it's unrelated.

I bought it from a random dude, but he seemed pretty honest. I definately didnt consider the clutch at all when buying it, i was thrilled i drove it all the way home

After all this i drove it around. I chucked it into second and it made a clunking noise under the car. The gears feel fine which is weird to me, there is literally no grinding at all

Okay I can understand that. It sounds related to your engine or engine electronics. A broken throttle position sensor could definitely cause this issue as the engine computer does not know how much the gas pedal is being pressed. It could also be a timing sensor(crankshaft/cam position) and the engine computer does not know how fast the engine is turning. Make sure everything is plugged in correctly. Of you have no check engine lights (verify it turns on by turning key to on position without starting the car, it should light up for a moment or more). If it never turns on then check for codes.

If i try to drive it through the deep sand again, even if i have a lot of momentum, the engine stalls.

Your throttle cable was fucked??

I was going to suggest the traction control. In these cars there is a throttle plate that will close when the car detects slip in the rear, making it feel like it's 'stalling' under throttle

Believe it or not youre right-ish. I believe the stalling was because of the throttle + traction control (that i cant turn off bc the button is broken). Now it doesnt stall

Pull an ABS fuse or relay. Unless you don't want it disabled to the point of having to plug a fuse back in to use it.
