Im a cripple looking to buy a new car so I need it to be automatic and since they're not very reliable Im purchasing a new car with a warrantee so I don't have to worry.

Since it's my first car im looking at smaller sized cars like the fiesta, polo, etc.

And cheap too.

Any recommendations? so far I've looked at the polo and current year focus, and the new Fiesta thats coming in July and i will also look at the mazda2.

a down payment on a house sized amount of debt and no performance to back that money up

This. Also whatever you do do not get an auto cause they are shit in this car. Good engine, really cheap interior but overall the manual is decently reliable.
