fug cvts fug em really hard :DD

Drive a 1.2l 2014 chebby spark as a work vehicle.

CVT lurches at low speeds, tries to mimick regular shifts half the time, then the rest actually behaves like a CVT. Has no power anywhere in the rev range and maxes out around 90 on i75, while sounding like I'm in a hurricane.

I drive a sonic as a work vehicle it's pretty zippy and it does have manual mode for when I'm feeling adventurous but I always end up feeling bored and forgetting to even shift until it's at almost 5k rpm. It's really an uninspiring boring econobox but in some ways I do kinda like it.

why do they make VCTs imitate shifting? why not just grow the workload on the rotor gradually?

I do have to say that the traction control mode is absolutely fucking useless though and for a FWD car it does terrible in snow even with snow tires.

It was lol. Besides the salt they spread everywhere the snow is pretty nice. This is my first winter in the north so it's pretty neat.

I'm still kinda fascinated with the gauge cluster. It looks like it should be mounted on a motorcycle not a dashboard. The automatic is alright my work car has about 17k on it. I just hate how with some hills automatics just can't seem to find a gear and I'm pretty gentle with the throttle.
