Do it.
If you plan on doing it up sure.
Automatic which is a shame, the only auto Alfa I've driven was a 159 which compared to the manual counterpart wasn't as nice.
Never driven a 164 though, go see it and have a drive if you can. It's still got the busso V6.

Alfa Romeos period are uber rare in America. Alfa Romeo didn't sell in the US from 1996 until 2015 when they came back with the 4C

I think it's worth a look regardless of the transmission.
It's cheap too so it's not like you're taking a massive gamble. Have you owned an Alfa before?

No. only the manuals are decent. Wrong wheel drive too.
oh shit another nutmugger? finally someone else can relate to the pain of registering a fucking car at the hell that is wethersfield
>front wheel drive
>automatic
>transverse mounted V6
If you're looking for an 80s Alfa, find a Milano or a GTV6 in manual. You'll have easily twice as much fun with it, and it'll be easier to work on. But I'd still go look at the 164 just for fun.

how much should i spend on a 1991 Honda CRX?
>>17023107
To each his own
>>17023108
I wouldn't go higher than 3,500 for a good one

It's a fucking nice car but, if you pull the trigger be prepared to spend a LOT of money on the V6 and in general.
Rare parts and you have to find a skilled mechanic who masters the V6 Busso.
