You'd think but they drive differently. The Chevy is much coarser and doesn't handle as well. Firebird interior feels nicer too.

Shared a few body panels but the 77-78 are very different cars. The 67 and 68 though might as well been a camaro with a pontiac engine

Firebird and Formula over Trans Am

Camaro was always uglier (until 4th gen since that Bird is one of the ugliest cars of all time)

i used to own a z28, BUT i did like the trans ams more as a kid. id be hard-pressed deciding between the two if i was in the market for one today. theyre both awesome and really dont need to be pitted against each other.
