Not the anon who owns it but its an Audi C6-gen A6 w/ the 2.7L V6 twin-turbo. Don't know the year but its between 2001 and 2005 cuz that's when they offered the A6 with the 2.7 TT V6
Great car but that engine has some serious mechanical issues from what I've read.

>I admit I often took my little green friend to its limits. I was driving as fast as possible, and I also tried to get the feel for it in a safe environment
>So I know how it feels when my back tries to spin out
>Driving home from work
>Lots of traffic, so I decide to use some smaller routes
>At first I'm driving in race mode, but then change my mind to just cruise and chill
>Tires are warm and grippy, weather is warm and clear, road is clean
>Driving chilled and probably even slower than speed limit, but for sure not faster, as suddenly after a left corner my car continues to kinda "turn" left. I am sure the back didn't come out, at this point there was no tire squeeling
>Felt like driving on ice
>So as my car "hovers" to the left I countersteer to the right and slam the brakes hard
>All 4 wheels instant block
>Where the fuck is my ABS?
>Try to save it but the car just slides sideways of the road into a ditch
>Roller coaster kick flip wtf is happening
>Arms crossed, hands on my upper chest
>Shoulders high, head low to save my Neck
Fuck.
>Car is upside down, Front windshield cracked but still there
>Left and right door windows look brand new
>In shock so forget I got my window winders
>Crawl out of the car through broken side window in the back
>Only got minor scratches
I still can't explain what happened. Okay, I probably countersteered to much, but why didn't my ABS work? Why did my car slide to the left in the first place? Why did it feel so weird an unknown?
So I asked some locals, they said that this corner is known for crashes, but every time the people just drive to fast and slide out to the right.
Nobody managed to slide out of the straight after the corner.
Then I thought I was to fast, but some elder lady saw me in the corner, she said I was driving with a normal speed, normally people go a lot faster here.
>Don't understand life anymore
>Lost my car I really liked

>I am sure the back didn't come out, at this point there was no tire squeeling
you feel the car sliding with your ass, not your ears.
>So as my car "hovers" to the left I countersteer to the right and slam the brakes hard
That was a dumb thing to do, you should have counter steered looking for grip while accelerating, not braking
>All 4 wheels instant block
yeah you locked them up retard
>Where the fuck is my ABS?
early 90's ABS in a shitty compact, what did you expect? did you really rely on a system that shitty? have you seen what brakes a compact has, or what the sensor looks like? its a joke.
at least your reacted good during the crash, but ffs you made a lot of mistakes.
When in doubt, go full out. Don't ever fucking lock up the brakes especially in a car with an open diff.
Has ????????miles, rust, and the heater cores fukt. But shell crank over every fucking time.
>>16985247
I know, not hearing a squeal was just an addition.
I slammed the brake because felt weird, because it didn't normally slide out, so I thought something broke.
I know it wasn't the smartest choice.
"early 90s"
>1999
>worked fine two days before the accident
I know the brakes, they worked fine. Yes, they arent the best, but this shouldnt have happened this way.
I don't wanna say it was the cars fault, as I made some serious mistakes, but I'm sure something was wrong.
Two days before the accident I did a full stop at 120km/h and nothing locked, ABS worked. This time I was driving with probably 80-90 km/h, so why should it have locked then?
>>16985408
>I know, not hearing a squeal was just an addition.
I bet you didn't hear squeels all that often.
>I know it wasn't the smartest choice.
Thats a major understatement.
>1999
yeah with 80's tech, a base model e36 wan't modern for 99's standards.
>worked fine two days before the accident
that was probably when something in that old ass brake circuit decided to fail.
>I don't wanna say it was the cars fault
You shouldn't, it's yours, and i don't wan't all of this to come over as shit.
You don't want to make that mistake another time, your fault was lifting the gas pedal and braking.
My guess is you where driving on a shitty road surface, upsetting the car without you feeling it.
>>16983839
Still less than some of Audi's 1.8TFSI engines
>>16985414

Gonna get it serviced soon, should i mention the cockroaches while im at it?

Holy Fuck nearly the same thing happened to me three years ago, minus the flip
>Drove this route full of sharp turns, hills and trees every day
>I’d gotten so I could drive it much, much faster than the limit and each turn felt like playing a musical instrument in perfect time
>Fwd, but it was what I drove and knew at the time and I loved it
>That car and I had more chemistry that most of my relationships had
>I knew what everywhere on that route felt like in that car
>I usually drove it in as you said, “race mode”, but this morning I was early and going pretty slow
>It was November, no snow, just damp from the morning and dead leaves on some stuff, everything felt fine
>I head down a small hill into a left corner, turn into it and lose the ability to turn
>No traction
>I try to correct right and break hard
>Breaks lock up, ABS tried but didn’t help
>Back end of the car spun out, I hit a small oncoming Subaru, continued to spin and wound up on the other side of the road beyond the turn
>Would’ve gone off the road if the Subaru hadn’t been there
>I was fine, car was totaled, I miss it still
I think I know some of the places I made mistakes here, I shouldn’t have breaked so much or steered so sharply.
But my question is, how did this happen in a front wheel drive car?
The corner where it happened was constantly having accidents where people would go into it too fast and hit a tree right at the corner. The house there had a fence they were fixing from the last time someone had gone through it and the tree is full of huge scrapes from cars and the road is covered in all kinds of skid marks.
The people fixing the fence saw what happened and couldn’t figure out how I didn't go through the fence and into the tree.
Collision center people blamed wet leaves, that’s reasonable I guess. Something was odd about how it happened though and three years later I’m still not sure why it went like it did.
>>16986866

>>16985154
Nope. Believe it or not he actually crashed his Mustang about a week ago.
haircut and blowjob optional
>>16989853
Yeah, the terrible feeling did go away. I was concerned about that too, it was alarming how out of nowhere it felt.
The next car I got was rwd which was new to me, so the different feeling of the back of the car in turns reminded me of the accident and freaked me out a bit the first few drives. But then I thought about it and realized it made sense that it felt different, and within about two weeks I was just about as comfortable as I’d been aside from getting to know the car.
Even though driving felt normal again pretty quickly I have not stopped wondering what happened, so when I read your story I suddenly wanted to try to figure it out again.
>>16990898
