That is just too fucked.
I remember doing a virgin oil change on a 2 year old Malibu with over 20k miles on it.
>>16977016
Ever since I put my new brake pads in it's been making this weird noise. It's very subtle, like a stray cat getting raped by vultures. Maybe check the tire pressure?
>>16977006
plugged my little shitty obd2 scanner into my sisters jetta. every cylinder suffered a misfire. the car only has 70,000 miles on it

Beautiful FCA quality
>>16977546
Some of those misfire codes might only be bad sensors, wiring.
>>16977574
Funny thing about sensors. Are they malfunctioning or doing their job!?!?

What're those holes tho?

what the fuck are "normal" smarties called wherever you live?
"normal" smarties being the nestle made M&M competitor

IL, USA here. I've never seen or even heard of Nestle Smarties.
>>16977951

Hnnnngg REEEEEEEEEEE3EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE3EEEEEEEEEEE CRINGE fucking normies use their breaks!!

>>16977006

Oh well.
>>16979814
That's not terribly unusual, but it's still too many weights.
>>16979814
Heh
>>16977101
I installed slotted and drilled brake pads for weight reduction and what you described sounds very familiar
>>16979814
Guy was lazy and kept the old weights on. It's probably balanced though.
>>16979845
That, and all 4 tires were counterbalanced and the guy didn't know how to apply sticky weights well. Pic related is one of the other tires on it. Should have gotten a pic before I put it on the balance but oh well.

Customer came in for a battery, saying their car died on the highway. Gee, I wonder why, and I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count why the battery wasn't the problem.
>>16979939
Almost forgot, not entirely bone stock, ebay special lower control arms made out of welded together junkyard scrap metal and cut stock springs.
>>16979866
That was me, I ran out of weights before it was perfect though

>find all this shit wrong with the car
>drain oil, comes out thick and jet black, chunks of metal come with it
>report to customer
>flips shit, accuses us of making shit up and trying to rip him off
>bring him into shop to show him tires

>idiot sales guys don't even bother to run vin
>pay the guy out STi trade in price for a WRX that needs new suspension, new tires, and new shortblock
>this asshole basically got a new Forrester almost for free because our sales department is staffed by idiots.
>>16980022
They obviously didn't even open the hood or look at the grille either, since the EJ257 is massively different from the FA20DIT and there wasn't an STi emblem on the grille.

Even two degrees of camber can wear tires like that, just depends on the car on how it's driven

He was wearing a gold chain, so he's not broke, and the items inside didn't suggest female owner.
It was just a typical case of Jews being Jews.
>>16985355
having wear upfront like that is usually due to high speed cornering. notice how its actually taking a good part of the inner sidewall along with it. The rest of the tire wear actually looks pretty decent
>>16980985
I honestly don't see the problem?
>>16986765

>Start the car, drive off
>Cop left me alone. Probably though "what a dumbfuck."

>>16986891
>What's an oil change?
>>16981032
what the fuck are you even talking about?
look at the stripe one the side of the tire at the bead. it's 2mm from the rim in one spot and 10 mm from the rim in another. that has nothing to do with the rim being clean or corroded, and everything do do with the tire either being horribly out of round as a manufacturing defect or not being seated properly.
>>16981010
did you throw the wheel up on the balancer by itself and verify that it was egg-shaped?
>>16987699
I was talking about the silver stripe on the rim, the darker stripe you're taking about is where the tire is wet from the tire lube I used to mount it. That photo's taken at an extreme angle, that's why it appears to be smaller on the top and bottom and wider on the sides.
Either way, the tire balanced fine, it held air, and it didn't debead when I drove the car out and did a figure eight. If it did debead the customer would have come back by now as that was now almost 5 days ago. If it was horribly out of round I would have noticed when it was on the balancer and it would have wanted an ungodly amount of weight, which it didn't, and I wouldn't have put that wheel back on the car, then contact the customer to let them know they need a new wheel.
>Did the squeaky belt and tensioner muhself
>but I brought it in because it didnt fix the squeak or overheating
Here is something I did earlier today. The underside of this car is extremely rusted and the fuel lines were just spraying gas. To fix it I just ran a fuel hose through my car.
>>16987819
Explain
>>16987799
did you eat it
>>16987949

Owner replaced the belt, then the belt and tensioner before he gave up and brought it in when that didn't fix it.
