Im looking at getting this 1995 Volvo 850 GLT. The thing only has 40,000 miles and is pristine inside and out. The seller wants $8k. Is this fair or should I Try to talk down? Does anyone on /o/ have experience with older Volvos? Anything I should look out for?
Volvo is big trash

Thats alot of money for a volvo. You coud get a t5r for that money

That's too much for anything that's not a T5R or 850R.
Inspect the PCV system.
Its a 22 year old car, no matter how many miles it has done
Rust, rotted tubing/rubber, leaks, when it last had an oil change
That is way too much for a car that old. It's not an oldtimer or anything
It's an 850, it doesn't really make a difference whether it's got 40k miles or 200k miles. They're extremely resistant to usage wear and equally susceptive to age wear.
Psss 8k, tell him to fuck his mom sideways, 2k max.
40k on the counter makes me more suspicious than happy.
Also, be prepared to get showered in pucci, bitches love that dadbox

Your getting hosed.
My 850R was only 3.5

But it's got the miles of a gently used car and it's only had one owner. Why is it inconceivable that low mileage cars cost more?

How long has it been for sale?
