Man that's a really shitty experience to go through. I think we've all been there.

I had a dude follow me for like 20 minutes, then get out of his car in the middle of gridlock all because he tried to cut me off really aggressively but I wasn't making room.

I have really bad anxiety issues and the whole experience fucked me up pretty bad for like a week.

I have some anxiety as well. However, I chose not to engage in a shouting or swearing match and just remained calm and recorded it through my phone. i feel like if i got all riled up it would have broight my day down. Ive seen to many youtube videos, liveleaks, etc, to try and "out tough" the other guy. Just remain claim, silent, and record, and let his actions speak for itself.

Can confirm (AB here), I had only one road rage incident. Was driving normally behind a minivan doing 60, when we came to a tight turn where the speed limit suddenly drops to 30. This dude went 20 so our spacing tightened up a little through the turn, but nowhere near tailgating distance. Then at the red light immediately after the turn, a middle age guy jumps out of the van and runs over to my window and yells that if I follow him that close again he is going to kick my ass.

Took me a couple seconds to process what the fuck was going on, so all I could come up with was

I used to get road rage. Then some guy got shot to death down the street from my work during a well publicized road rage incident


Now every time I start to get frustrated behind the wheel I remember that incident and how you don't know what the guy in front of you may have just done or what he's capable of.

Plus usually when people tail gate me then speed past me I see them at the next light. So It's pointless. All your doing is wasting gas and putting your life at risk.

I just remember that incident and listen to audio books though my phone and don't acknowledge other drivers getting mad unless they start to approach my car or gesture with a weapon (which has never happened), Then I won't respond.

Doesn't matter to those people. I drive on this solid double yellow line road all the time. It has 2 busy lanes in either direction. If there is no police, they will stop in one lane to turn left across the double yellow, thus holding up traffic. It's so annoying because lots of cars will drive in the congested right lane in anticipation of someone doing a left turn.

If you cannot prove that, then your excuse doesn't work. Meanwhile, the other person has dashcam of you, so that does work as evidence. His dashcam probably shows no creature visible, so you might even be cited for perjury since you said that in the courtroom.
