>Mazda RX-7
Sure but
>rotaries
will make its introduction and inception difficult and expensive giving its a non-conventional engine design even among mazda's own lineup now that Rotaries have been off their table completely in production cars and making performance cars with specialized engines isn't a recipe for affordability in today's climate.
>Toyota MR2
We basically have this with mid-engine lotus cars powered by Toyota engines anyway albeit fairly expensive.
>Honda Prelude
Why? isn't the Civic a better performer now in every way? Honda has made some sporty 2-door accord coupes which is about the closest thing to a modern "prelude" i could imagine. not much of a purpose to dump money into another FWD name when they have the very well known Civic.
>Mitsubishi 3000GT
With the EVO cancelled following their merger with Renault-Nissan nothing this ambitious will need to be attempted since they technically already have the GTR.
>Acura Integra Type-R
Kinda the same story with the prelude. another FWD name/platform that might seem kinda redundant with the latest Civic Type R being Honda's main FWD performer. they don't necessarily need another one and the market isn't exactly starving for FWD sports cars with the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Golf whatever-the-hell performance model etc.
>Nissan 240SX
didn't we kinda get a continuation of these with the Infinity Skyline sedans? nissan itself has small RWD cars like the Z it just hasn't been updated.
>Mazda MX-6
Doesn't Mazda have cars like this already in their lineup that can fill the prelude-like FF slot? granted it will never weigh as much as this did but then again, what car will ever weigh as much as its 90s self?
>Mitsubishi Eclipse
People loved this because they were AWD and quick. with the discontinuation of the EVO Mitsubishi doesn't seem interesting in that market anymore and besides, it would just compete directly with the Focus RS.
>Toyota Supra
Its revived.
>NSX
Revived and better than ever.

Yeah no, 90s cars arent making a return as much as we all love em.

Except a third of those cars are coming back/already back.

???
>>
>>16962215
3000GT was supposedly targeting the GTR when it released and it was an ambitious project for Mitsubishi. now that they are part of the Renault-Nissan alliance why would they have another Twin Turbo V6 sports car?
>>
>>16962257
Shit, I didn't realize they owned Dacia, Lada, and Mitsubishi.
>>
>>16962201
except they aren't the same cars at all... dumbass.

because they aren't the same cars.

Are you trying to tell me the latest Civic Type R has plenty in common with the Original?

Or that the new NSX is the same exact thing as the one that was made in '91?

Sure they have the same name but they aren't the same cars at all, due to government regulations. the 90's are over and have been over. They are never coming back.

They'd just fucking ruin them, they'd change the styling to make it look modern and completely miss the point.
I'd give my left nut for an original straight-out-the-dealership W20 MR2 or VR6 Corrado.
>>
>>16964297
Why Corrado?
>>
"The most recent two generations of the Mitsubishi Eclipse can be filed under the “missed opportunities/utterly disappointing” category"

even though the 4th gen was the fastest eclipse from the factory.

Also they are bringing the eclipse back, although only thing that is similar is the name.

You're right they're not the same, they're better
