All silliness aside, ride both and see what fits better. Another thing I just thought of is to see if there are lower footpegs available for it in addition to raising the suspension. I got lower footpegs for my V-Stronk and it's a bit nicer for longer rides now.

>ramps
If your engine/lower fairing has enough clearance, then you can hop curbs easily enough. CC taught me how to do it and it came in handy when I had to turn around at a gated parking lot (long story, but they don't allow bikes because their induction loops are poorly calibrated and the operators are too dumb to fix it) and nobody behind me would back up enough to let me out. Moved the bike around, set up perpendicular to the curb with the front wheel pretty close to it, bounced the front suspension as I gave it a little gas and let off the clutch. The front wheel popped right on the little island and off I went, mad as fuck.

So I decided to take a little shortcut to work(graveyard shift 3am-11am) this morning and cut through a path cutting through a field of overgrown grass and I had fun but upon reaching work I had a flat tire. I got a ride home bye some fuccgirl who jumped up quick offering a ride on her truck when she heard I had a flat. Women driving trucks is pretty hot tho. get home and head to the shop and get a new tube, and I manage to swap the tubes but I spend an hour trying to bead the tire. end up pumping the tube too much and it will no longer hold air. 5:30pm now, shop is closed and I should've been asleep 4hrs ago. This bike is my only mode of transportation, wish I had the chick withe the truck's number. Life is great.

So someone explain helmet fitment to me.

I currently wear a large. Fits kind of snug, but I can turn it a few inches before my head turns with it.

I went to the shop the other day. Found out I can actually fit in a medium of the same helmet type. It feels very tight though. No play at all.

Which one should I be wearing? Tight as fuck one. Or snug one.
>>
>>16962473
"A few inches" sounds too far. Should feel pretty damn snug new, will loosen up a bit as the padding compresses.

With my old BMW replacing the air filter took like 5 minutes and that was one of the harder regular jobs.
Only hard thing was replacing the starter, as that was located on top of the engine. That meant getting the tank off, removing the airbox, top and front engine cover and then unbolting the starter with no room for your tools.

The Airbox is annoying to get to as you have to undo both air branches, undo two bolts holding the box on, undo the breather tube, wriggle it out, then undo 6 bolts to open it up. There are upgrades that can be popped open in a few seconds without removal but this one works fine IMO.

What happened to Honda?

This is probably the ugliest motorcycle I have ever seen in my entire life. It makes zero sense, aesthetically. It is too drunk on Harley Davidson to consider itself modern, yet it has miles of Pontiac Aztec-inspired plastic cladding, effectively running a steam roller over "tradition" or "heritage." (Which, by the way, are two stupid words that Americans are addicted).

Between this criminal act of design, saddling poor Nicky with what appears to be a recall-worthy WSBK junk machine, and Honda's refusal to finally update the CBR600RR, I am almost about to be done with this company after decades as a loyal fan.

hi, you seem to have confused WSBK with the real world production bikes so I'll clear up a few things.

WSBK bikes are heavily modified from their factory versions and the amount of effort put into that reflects their grid positions as much as the basic bike does (not that much), the fuel tank on a WSBK machine is under the seat, the engines are modified inside and out, they have completely different swingarms and suspension systems, electronics.

The "Honda" WSBK team is not really a factory effort although they've been given the appearance of being one, they're not HRC in any capacity, they're essentially something like an isle of man or BSB team ascended to world superbike. The old honda WSBK machine used to have an off the shelf rear subframe literally anyone can buy for example (http://www.motoholders.com/) compared to kawasaki who have custom designed one piece carbon fiber efforts for example. The honda team was given production bikes with a very short amount of time (a matter of weeks) to turn them around into racing machines for the series, this is not to say that honda shouldn't be portioned some blame for that, they should, but all they do is provide the bikes really. The team is doing an admirable job in their position.

The "yamaha" wsbk team is also like this and aprilia has no direct factory involvement in WSBK anymore either hence their dramatic drop off (the RSV4 frame didn't suddenly get shit).

There are only 3 real factory teams in WSBK, MV agusta who are so poor they can only afford one rider, Ducati and Kawasaki.

That's why those 2 teams are the only ones who can compete for wins.

The people at honda who have always supported and given nicky hayden love were honda of america.

Apparently they're women's gloves I'm just now figuring out but I'm asian with asian hands so I guess it makes sense. I'd recommend them, especially at that price point. I went down at about 45mph but the slide really didn't matter for me, because the injuries were mainly due to me hitting the ground hard because I was clipped by the front left fender of a silverado who turned left in front of me. The gloves themselves help up well, I'm still using them. Like I said, my biggest injury was a fractured thumb, and I had no road rash. My biggest complaint is that they don't breathe well, they suck to use during the SC summers

honda knows exactly what they're doing, selling a million pieces of shit to retards who don't know any better.

People like us? who want a fast bike, the pinnacle of performance, something cutting edge and scintillating to the senses? we're a tiny, tiny part of the market. It's more profitable to make a bike that's exactly the right kind of affordably bad (but quality wise, good) that they can sell a lot of at a high margin and low cost of production in some other country than building the pinnacle of performance in japan.

Look at a factory motoGP bike and you'll regularly find Indonesian catch phrases on them, that's because those markets are huge and sell hundreds of thousands of bikes, that's who they want to sell to, you're peripheral. Me? as an australian? I'm extra-peripheral, it's amazing how small our market here really is when you see the sales numbers and how little we matter.

With that being said, honda still has killer engineers, look at the new CBR1000RR, it weighs 192 kg wet, and is tiny, that bike would be amazing to ride but honda deliberately hamstrings themselves from doing all we know their engineers are capable of.

This is /dbt/ so everyone starts out on a 'blade/R1. That said, fuck a 500 if you've any riding experience just get a 600/800 and take it steady

From Honda MT-50, to Mt-50 with a 100cc engine, to an ER5, to a VFR800, to an R1 to my current GSXR1000...

The 500 was my test bike (I didnt own it) I basically went from riding a 100cc 2stroke to an 800.

I laid my fz6 down and the chinesium lever just bent. Kept it on there for like 4 months until I bought new ones.

I have pazzo levers on my current bike and they feel almost identical, maybe a little bit thicker.
>>
>>16964131
Easy as fuck, you can buy them with rings that run straight to your battery, or if you have spare accessory power leads behind your headlight just tap into those, most bikes have them.

I have this right now - it's a little flimsy but works.

I had this on the DRZ with a USB adapter that fit under the cap, felt way sturdier but never used it as a regular accessory port.
