Fuel starvation?

no my afr's are good and I can hear the fuel popping when I romp on it misfiring.

Are you using stock boost?

You're probably fuel starving it if you aren't at stock levels

No, I haven't had this issue on the boost level I've been at. I've been driving the car for 6 months now and this is the first major issue.

Did it run fine before you replaced the plugs?

Could be your ignition coil/sparkplug leads then. It's pretty much either spark or fuel (or in some cases a vacuum leak).

no it started misfiring and then I changed my plugs, the misfire is still happening though.

Ok, Ill buy a new coil and spark plug wires and see if its misfiring from there.

All the other cylinders are running fine though so I didn't think it could be a coil.

Does it still have a stock computer that isn't aware of the turbo? Tuned for such?

This, you might as well. It's cheaper than buying a bunch of new stuff anyway and it'll probably come in handy again in the future.

Did you replace the distributor cap at the same time?
How many miles are on it?
Is the car tuned for any modifications you have done to it?
If there are a lot of miles on it, are the injectors clean?
Is the fuel pump and filter in good shape?
Misfires happen for a lot of different reasons, especially on old cars.

If the SAFC isn't tuned right, it can cause misfires.
I would guess that is the problem, considering it only happens when you stomp on it.
You should have changed the wires and distributor when you changed your plugs. It doesn't cost very much.

But I would also look at your injectors more than just buying a cleaning solution for them, especially if they were swapped for larger ones previously.
