Hey /o/ British guy here.
Just passed my test and looking to buy something along the lines of a Pontiac Firebird; only it's right-hand drive.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I thought you could still own/drive RHD vehicles in UK, or is that only tourists who drive up through the chunnel?

sorry enjoy your 1.3L N/A diesel hot hatch and 6000/year insurance

you mean LHD?
also ford capri is the closest i can think of
OP here - sorry should have been more specific.
Being British means i just learnt to drive with a RHD car, so am looking for similar.
Always loved the look of classic American cars such as a Pontiac Firebird; sadly most British cars are a homogenous blob mess.
I have seen newer 3rd and 4th gens converted to rhd in your country.
There have been some 2nd gens spotted but not nearly as many that were converted in Australia to rhd.
Research on google and maybe attend some American import car shows and talk to some owners.
I have no idea on the rules of your country but if others have done it it's totally feasible for you to find one or have the process done for yourself.

Very, very interesting! Cheers chief!!
Not sure if it's RHD but it is in the UK and at a hella reasonable price!
The mask poster here,
Yeah I'm waiting for gm and Michael bay to exploit this franchise.
But if you import one of the old f bodies, get one west of the Mississippi. Rear Frame rails or specifically rear sub frame and quarters are the bad spots. Doesn't matter if a shop replaced them already, chances are it was a shit job. Unless it was from a top builder in the states. Schwartz performance makes a full pro touring chassis for these as well.
So find s survivor from a dry climate that needs help or a concours restoration.
