Is buying a truck with 212k miles on it a bad idea?
Not really, but it's worth nowhere near 7k.
Try to offer 2500 and see if they'll throw in anything extra.
Depends on the truck. A 90s GM with giant rust holes sold by a dealership for 7k? Yes, extremely bad idea.
>7k
That is the only bad idea. Those trucks can throw a rod and still drive but not worth 7k. At that point just get a 2000-2006 silverado. Just as durable and doesnt rust as easy

Those are good trucks, I wouldn't wouldn't worry about that much mileage on one. However they're asking way too much. That truck is worth $4-5k tops.

negative. my 1990 f-250 has over 300k on it and the engine is only now starting to get a little weak
but that truck is an absolutely shit tier deal.

>buying a shitbox from a dealer
shiggy diggy. miles don't matter but they probably paid 500 bucks for that at auction. Buy a mint one from a private seller.

What's wrong with 90s GMs?

Nothing, it's just that for that price you could find things miles better
Jesus, not for $7k. Go on Craigslist and get one with 50k miles less for $2k.
