This line doesn't seem to be the right kind. Won't even bolt to the bracket on my strut. Driver side bolts right up. It seems too short.

I got the driver side coil all the way to the top while the passenger side is set lower yet the driver side sits a tiny bit lower than the passenger. Fucking weird.

how do my honda br/o/s feel about this 4th gen prelude? legit si or not? also what engine is this
>>
>>16950366
Best guess is a H23A1 which is indeed a USDM Si engine. If you're cool with the rebuilt title it could be a good car. Title status doesn't matter much to me as long as it's thoroughly inspected. It's an antique at this point so insurance will total it for the smallest easily fixed shit. Third gen Prelude anon had his car totaled for minor damage to the front driver corner.

Hey guys just an update on my B20b swap CRX since i never post here.

B16 trans diff was blow, and replaced it with a 4.7 ITR trans. Still running the B20 using a P75, and it's running lean and struggles on idle. Plugs are burnt too. Took the crx to the track (Streets of Willow) on Mar. 26th for my first track day ever. Ran a 1:36.5 which I am disappointed with. Lastly, I got the car tuned this last Wednesday, so now I am making approximately 148.5 HP at the hub in comparison to ~130. Hopefully just power alone will increase my track time.
Could I also get a collage update? ;)
>>
>>16951524

Yeah that's what I'd get. I kinda have an idea where to use it. I need a friend to get all the cracks with a water hose so I know where to glob it on.

>>
>>16951539
What engine mods? I have a 9.6:1 B20B in my Integra, running on the stock OBD2 LS ECU and I don't feel like it's making anywhere close to that. Is tuning worth it? I have an OBD1 P75 ready to chip and a conversion harness, just not sure if it's worth the money for a dyno tune with a stock B20.
>>
>>16951600
Keep in mind any time you reduce restriction (no cat, higher flow exhaust etc) you are going to make the engine run leaner. Probably what happened to your setup.

It was a drag car but the front end is original, not fiberglass. Lost control at about 100, died right then and there. He had a hoop but no A pillar or door bars

I have 0 engine mods. I am running the high comp B20b with OBD1 p75. Tune was definitely worth it. My torque figures increase drastically, Engine idles properly, more HP, and doesnt sound like it's going to explode past 5500 RPM!

>>16951622
I am running a CAT, and relatively restricted exhaust actually. P75 Ecu gives fuel for a 1.8 liter while b20 is 2 liter. CRX's are dangerous I am aware. I dont plan on going on fast tracks or dragging.
>>
>>16951645

>>
>>16951588
Kits are shitty, the god-tier way to restore headlights is as follows:

1) Wetsand the headlights with 2000 grit to remove all yellowing. If it's really bad, start with 800-1000 and work your way up.

2) Once the headlights are nice and smooth, go down to your local hardware store and pick up a bottle of mineral spirits and a little can of Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane (Indoor/Outdoor) Clear Gloss.

3) Mix up a small batch of 50/50 mineral spirits and urethane.

4) Get a paper towel, fold it up, dip it in the mix, and wipe it on the headlights. It's thin enough to lay down perfectly smooth if you're careful, and if you fuck up, wipe it off with 100% mineral spirits and try again. You can continue this cycle until you give up or get it right.

Lifted from here: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/19021-headlight-restoration-new-uv-sealant-idea.html

You don't have to buff after wetsanding as the sealer will fill in the sanding marks, but you can if you want to. I've done it with great results on my Integra after doing an HID retrofit, nice sharp cutoff and lenses look great.
>>
>>16951655
The p75 runs the b20 pretty well in stock form. It will only be a touch lean. If you were as lean as you were saying it was probably a combination of things.

If you think fast tracks or drag racing are the only ways you can get killed, you should really reconsider. If you are going to race, you need to run a full cage, period.

You can argue with me on the internet about it, but I'll win in the end because you won't be able to reply when you're dead.

>>
>>16952826
Wiping it on with the method I posted can create a perfect finish with zero orange peel and no polishing required. It's thin enough to lay down perfectly flat. With a rattle can you'll always be dealing with orange peel and then have to polish it out.

>>16957352
Makes sense. The s2k has a niche market willing to blow a ton on clean bodied ones. Its never going to go the same way as the miata.
Nsx will keep going up until people have difficulty getting parts for maintaining them. This is just stuff i know from the market trends in nc. High mileage s2k used to be 12k now its 15k for 100 thousand miles.
>>
wat should i aesthetic?

Sale prices from personal life

2001 NSX supercharged with ~70k miles: $39,500
Resold for $50,000 circa 2014?

1991 NSX N/A with ~220k miles: $19,500
Resold for $24,000 (IIRC) used for the clarion builds project

1996 NSX supercharged with intercooler setup from switzerland with ~90k miles: $34,000 IIRC? there was a lot of bullshit involved.
Don't remember resale price but it was around $36-38k circa 2015

In short, it varies
>>
>>16957380
Well rip. Ill stick with my d17a2 then. Its fucking weird but i like it. Except for the minor torque dip which i know can be made less noticeable with a better manifold. This engine has parts set up similar to a vtec-e but off... Probably why its 2 stage vtec. Also probably why its so lean. Makes fuck all for mpg though. I get 25-28mpg on average. Maybe ill look for a junk yard y8 manifold if this car lives through college.

Fd's stock can be had in my state for around 12k clean at 60k miles. Others go around 20-30k with same miles. Thats going off my Craigslist though and ive show /hg/ how fucked that place is. My Craigslist is filled with swap and sells
Usually, i see at least one fd without stock engine every time i check. Idk why they don't swap gto/transam/camero engines into rx8s instead. Its actually way cheaper, but then again rx8 is like garlic to vampires for car people in this state.

The streets are rough yo. There's one railroad crossing that I go over for delivery that's rough as fuck though.

I know one is Timken and the other Vatozone but I need to figure out which is which. I'll look through my Google photos history and see. I know I did the Timken one in November.

Vatozone bearing confirmed. I remember I had to meet up with somebody in another city to find a wheel hub that was in better shape. Pep Boys refused to use my old hub and I did bring them a Duralast bearing to go with it.

Does Vatozone accept warranty claims on their bearings without a receipt?

I got some rattles back there myself but sorting out the suspension seemed to have fixed a lot of them. Tucked my little red trolley jack and my improved tool bag behind my front seats too because heavy bumps made them bounce around back there.

Only thing that sucks is that the leaks I got back there would probably ruin any sound deadening I try.

>gotta honk to stop them from hitting me

>me turning in the right lane
>people in the left lane cut me off to get into one of those two gas stations

Every fucking day. I just go through that part of the road faster than everyone else so they don't have the chance to cut me off. Works much better.

What would cost less money, a B18B1 to B18C swap in a Teggy or an automatic to manual swap in a Teggy? Also, what would be more effective? Should I even bother with VTEC if I have an auto tranny?

Auto to manual most likely. B trans are easier to find than a complete b engine where i live. Vtec is nice if it can be had cheap ish. I can find b heads all day but blocks are too expensive/rare to be had around here unless you bought an already running car with a b.

>was driving local semi-twisty road
>like to alternate the roads I drive every week because I'm paranoid, mostly because most of them are in front of mcmansions and I feel like those folks definitely will call the cops on my lil 4 banger roaring through often
>this one starts with high speed turns and then suddenly drops you into low-speed twists
>it's my second time driving it, and the first time I didn't have traffic in front of me
>fuck up in multiple ways (shifted to 5th when I should never see it during spirited driving, was being lazy, downshifted to 4th late, downshifted to third superlate)
>entered corner rated at 20 mph at 45 in third
>rear end kicks out briefly
>countersteer, kick in clutch for some reason
>go home in shame to review dashcam footage.

My dilemma now is that I feel like I'm.... Hyper-aware of my rear wheels now? It always feels like they're weightless behind me as I enter turns now, it's really strange, almost like they don't have enough tread and are trying to kick out (but they do have tread). Am I being autistic about this or what? I don't think I've actually oversteered since then but every time I enter a turn at higher speeds I'm painfully aware of what feels like the rear wheels dragging out and to the opposite direction I'm turning. Has... Anybody else experienced anything like this? It sounds stupid as shit when I type it out but it's been bothering me when I drive.
>>
>>16964262
Haven't done that yet because I'm ultra paranoid and don't wanna break anything. Though I'm told that the addition of my rear sway bar will make it easier to oversteer. Hopefully it doesn't happen unless I want it to.
