I wonder which one made the company more money? I'll bet it was the Town Car.

Cars weren't the only mistake, OP.

Anyone will tell you that is the worst gen Town Car from a luxury standpoint. They fell for the aero meme, sacrificing rear head room and sales dropped.

Countries don't want to risk hundreds of millions of dollars, years of building, and 1500 men to all of it potentially be lost because a bi-plane with a torpedo can sink it.

The Arleigh Burke class looks pretty nice
Zumwalt was a mistake.
Automobile "design" died in the 70s. Ever since humans started to figure out how aerodynamics REALLY worked we started designing them to be as good as possible in a windtunnel. Whatever creative freedom you have left after you get the lowest drag coefficient possible is then stripped away completely by safety regulations and price to manufacture. Car design is a complete joke and has been for a while. That's why every car by every make looks so damn similar .

Horrible example where the only thing in common are the grilles.
